I found out yesterday i was disqualified for my hazmat because of a domestic violence felony back in 2008 , I was approved for TWIC a yr a half ago but not for my hazmat SMH ,they say I can appeal n ask for a hearing but should I brush this off n forget or do i appeal ,this is in NY ..I saw the disqualification list n my felony does not fall under their catagory for crimes and I would have never paid the $150 to hae prints taken had I known this...

Ah yes. The old "beats his wife so more likely to crash a bomb on wheels into a schoolbus" syndrome. Happens every day.

    ####### government man.

I would say the majority of drivers don't have hazmat. Most companies don't require it so I wouldn't worry about trying to appeal it.Chances are it would just be a waste of time.Too bad you couldn't get your money back.

Aside from the obvious anger issues, I'd say a man that beats his wife is less likely to be a conscientious follower of rules & procedures.

I agree. Its a gateway drug to mass murder/suicide killings.

I would say go for the appeal. Having the hazmat is worthwhile, and worth spending some time and even money to get it.

Maybe you shouldn't have done what you did to get arrested in the first place? I mean call me crazy, but why should you be rewarded for this kind of behavior? Good. I'm glad you can't get it.
