Ok, pretty much the bottom line is these two are the best for new giys. But which one wins on things that are important. Such as pay percentage vs miles, equipment, freight reliabilty, training, FM dispatch, ezpass, other pay- tarp, layover, etc, home time? These two pretty much say the same things as each other why there the best! So lets let the comparing begin!!
OK flatbed world.. TMC or MAVERICK for newbie??

Worked for TMC had no problem. Chose % of load great pay vs mileage. Also never refused load and worked well with driver manager. Which in return got better paying loads. It is all what you make it. Good luck.

Measure twice. Cut once.
1. Where do you live?
2. What is your 5 yr goal?
If you live in a good freight lane, find a gig that's closest to home or will get you by the house so you can chase mama around the bedroom on a 10 hour break.
If you plan to be an O/O in the future, look at their owner ops. Don't allow a desk jockey to sell you on an idea of leasing a truck from any company you drive for. It's like trying to buy crack at the police department. You ARE going to get busted. Instead, look at their owner operator program. If they are advertising paying owner operators $.90/mile+FSC, flee! That may sound like good money when you hear stories about how some doorslammer operations pay rookies $.18/ mile and run team, but that isn't good money at all.
In our line of work, if you have skill and are dependable, you will always have a job, and you can make a decent wage. Just keep that in mind while you're searching.

From what I've heard the only difference between TMC and Maverick are that Maverick has auto transmissions and doesn't offer percentage. I started TMC and made good money and great load securment traing. When I got my experiance I went local pulling flatbed for a ten truck company with 1 seat to fill. When I told the old man who owned the company that I drove for TMC he hired me on the spot over guys with much more experience. I would recommend driving a manual to start out, until it becomes second nature to you. Also I'm sure Mavericks training is just as good. Loaded along side alot of their drivers and all seemed pretty happy. PGT is another option but I don't think they offer the same hometime.

Haha yeah i gotcha nb629 i understand what im in for, only problems i see with people and TMC is that they dont like the strict policy of the company but i think it weeds out the people who dont need to be there, look good feel good play good is what i go for and a company who keeps high standards shows me they take pride in what there company does and represents and they cant do that if slobs or undisciplined people dont adhere to policy. Plus if you pay attention to detail and simple instructions then u will suceed much further in life and your career, and thats all TMC is asking.

Maverick just filed bankruptcy, so they may not be a very good choice for you.
