The best bennie?? the respect that you are treated with, in all avenues, at the company. The excellent compensation and job stability. The meticulously maintained trucks, and the shop that will fix something right away, if you notice a problem. The great time off.

It is just a very rounded package fantastic driving job. You may meet the pay elsewhere. You may meet the bennies somewhere. You may get treated great somewhere. However, there are very few companies that do it all, like Walmart does

Where can I get a complete pretrip inspection list at? I am waiting on the call for that since I passed the interview

 

Do you actually do a thorough pre-trip inspection of your vehicle and fill out a DVIR which lists almost all the items needed to be inspected each day? Be forewarned, the pre-trip inspection part of the interview is where most drivers fail, so if you are not doing one regularly now, you need to start ASAP. I am telling you this as advice, not criticism. A former co-worker of mine applied to Walmart earlier this year and did not take this advice seriously. As a result, he failed on the pre-trip inspection and was dropped from consideration for employment.

 

Yes I do-was looking for a standard federal pretrip form...not the one my company uses.I should be ok...I took first place on the pretrip at the company rodeo--thanks anyway

 

There is no standard Federal pre-trip form. Everything you need to inspect can be found in §393 of the FMCSR.

Doing a company rodeo pretrip is less nerve racking then doing it for your dream job- both companies I have worked for have the same but different items on the pretrip-just don't want to leave anything off - like check the DEF cap... Never had to deal with that one til lately Pray all goes well whenever I go 🙏

 

I went to the facility that I have been going to for my DOT physicals and asked for copies of my compliance reports. I gave them to the PA at my Walmart physical. She said it was all good. Walmart never asked me about OSA.

 

Good evening. I just have to say that I have the utmost respect for Wal-Mart Drivers and commend you on having the best driving job in the industry. Recently I applied and did pass the initial phone interview. Now the infamous pretrip and road test are at hand. Just wondering if Hr checks dac and mvr prior to the pti and road test or after. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Stay safe out there.

 

If you have not yet signed the application you submitted online, which Walmart will print out and have you verify everything is correct, then sign it, then the answer is NO, they have not yet checked your DAC or MVR file because they do not have your written authorization to do so. This will likely occur when you meet with people from the DC in person, and would occur after the PTI/Road test.
