New to me. Brought 2 wagons about 18 miles north of the Terminal
Loaded with mattresses at a hotel doing renovation.

Broke the set in the parking lot. Forget the total count. Wrapped in plastic. Finger printed each one to the door. The Temporary hired help ( 9 of them ) dwindled off after carrying 2 mattresses. I Started throwing ( stacking them on the ground ) and the Maintenance guy in charge had the balls to say I should wait for the help to come back.

Why so 6 them can carry 1 mattress into the building? With all due respect, No time for them to hand unload and place inside of the rooms. Luckily the guy was cool and signed off, Continued "throwing" stacking them outside the trailer.

Would of been nice to have a long box, but oh well.

Been on the opposite side of this which makes it funnier, My friend in Highschool at the time had a bright idea to skip school and go do temp work for the day, We unloaded light fixtures/furniture for a different hotel. :biggrin_2552: Miserable $46, Then the taxes come out, I think we made around $28 for skipping school lol

Ouch shaggy that sounds bad. I heard the sleeps warehouse is like that. They take off one mattress at a time, then scan and so on

I HATE handling mattresses. Particularly the king size ones.

Really can't complain about the labor. Other then the plastic covering, Fairly easy to throw out the doubles and queens. Somehow would of tripped had a pile of cushioning lol
End of the day, Learned something knew. Coworker asked me if they was tempur pedic. Thankfully no. The way he describe them was use special care.

Thought he was pulling my chain. He's correct. from some blogger "expert" from upack http://blog.upack.com/posts/moving-a-mattress-will-it-fit-inside-a-relocube

Friday morning i had a delivery to a Cemetery. I was already starting to Rant until i read the complete DR. It turns out that it was a Grave stone marker shipped from the Disabled American Veterans association . It was for a deceased Korean war vet. Considering that i'm a Veteran (disabled at a 20% Rating from the VA) It turned out to be an Honor for me to deliver it.

A while back i delivered 6 pallets of high heat bricks to a cemetery crematorium, on a liftgate. Its a strange feeling when the liftgate starts bouncing from the weight
