Just get the brush hog for the front. Then grind everything you can with that. I have ground 10"-12" soft woods to the stump. It makes it soo much nicer to get in and cut the bigger stuff, like walking in a shaded park. Then rent the shear attachment to fell the trees ALL AWAY from the landing. Limb them where you want to grind the slash with the brush hog. What is left is fire wood, logs, and soft wood pulp. Since you are already north some, we can find someone to come take all the round wood thats to big to grind and you dont want. Good luck on a great project.

That was over a 18yr spread of time. They are usually good for 4-6k hrs before they are not cost efficient any longer. Most yrs I was doing between 900-1200hrs. All that I ran had Kubota engines and they were bullet proof. Never, ever had to add a drop of oil in any of the 5 machines I had, they were all Bobcat brand. Now the caterpillars we have at work now, different story. The engines use oil from brand new. Usually a gal. every 200hrs.

They are fun though. I was just kinda joking in my OP.

Driver, see that street on the right?
The one that's at a 90° angle and barely wide enough for a straight truck.
Well, you have to back it in there.:biggrin_25521:

  8. Isn't that a typical receiver. First you hear. "Oh! By the way". & " didn't they tell you about the drop location "
