Got my trailer washed out in Lodi, OH and then parked at the TA with the trailer on an incline and dumped the trailer airbags to help facilitate water drainage because the trailer needs to be completely dry at pickup. Another reefer driver from a big major carrier came over and asked why did I do that. He was dumbfounded when I told him why. Then I told him I was going to leave the vent door open also while I drove to pickup. He told me that I couldn't do that because it was against the law. I said show me the regulation that says I can't. He response was that is what his dispatcher told him. I laughed and told him you can run with the vent door open. Just not a good idea with a temp controlled load. Empty or dry load it wouldn't matter.

Well, I am off to go make pick up 1 of 3.

Some people are so gullible. Gave a newbie a ride to p/u a truck a week ago and he believed it when someone told him to not use the engine brake because it ate up the fuel. LOL.

Sitting at the Petro in Joplin waiting my turn for the shop. Have a drive tire that has separated. Luckily for me I caught it before it blew.

sounds like everyone at JCT is having a good time! I wonder what the average miles are per month over a year? Does a dedicated hard working driver net 70k year? Last thing what about health insurance being a Lease driver do you get decent monthly health insurance rate. If you respond I will throw you a "thanks"!

1st off, more miles DOES NOT mean more money. It's all about controlling cost and maximizing profit per mile.
As far as health insurance goes, we are not employees. We own our own businesses, which means we have to get coverage on our own or use a spouse's insurance.

    Milkman719 and crxdc Thank this.

I can tell you that I Average 2800 miles a week. I also make sure to watch my Fuel cost and my MPG. I was comparing with another driver he averages 2900 a week but I make more do to my stinginess in fuel cost. This is a business and if treated like one then you can make nice profit and enjoy yourself out here. My buddy leased over at a mega he runs 3k a week but my checks are still bigger. Speed kills MPG.

Hey guys. I'm sorry to bother y'all but I'm most likely gonna scan my first trip. Coming off hometime and I only have this one load and my u/l apt is 16:00. I'm going to go in early but I'll be a "work in". How do I scan. Is there a code or anything I have to enter or just hand all my stuff to the cashier? Never used Transflo, and normally don't plan to but I'll never make UPS pick up at the yellow box before payroll cutoff. Thanks guys.
