Micki your dbl should've given you an exception for those miles.

 

I tried that. Unfortunately, it was during the time that DBLs were changing.

 

Anyone know about tanker training an pay. Pittsburg PA.

 

Question - I know that Schneider did the incentive over the 4th of July, but I was wondering if they're gonna do it over Labor Day or any other upcoming holidays. I decided to ask here before asking my DBL just because I wanted to hear from past experience.

 

You mean the extra cash for company drivers to stay out?

 

Yeah that. I was wondering if it was a one-time thing or if they do it more often.

 

I think thats also dependent on the OC that you are out of. I have never seen anything like that and I stay out for months.

The Walmart gig was actually alot of fun and I'm going to miss it. They ran out of work and told me to call back thursday. Sorry, this cat has to boogie. Heading out to KC in the morning with a friday delivery at 11 am.

One of my High school friends had a double mastectomy today. She found out that she had cancerous lumps in her breasts last year and it has been truly amazing to watch her go from a scared Girl to the incredible Woman that She is today. Just loving life every single day and just not letting anything get her down. I really need to let her examples motivate me and incorporate them into my life. She is just an amazing Woman. My minute issues are just nothing compared to her trials and make me ashamed.

also today while doing laundry at the flying J in SLC, I noticed that the place has almost become a homeless shelter, and I'm in no way being mean or petty saying that, I'm dead serious. There are people living in their cars in the parking lot. I watched a little boy playing by a tree, as a Mom/sister watched and the rest slept in the car. There were probably,,13 various cars and vans and such there, all with people living in them and some of them were there the last time I was there almost a month ago.
I'm homeless, but by choice. I spend that money on paying off my debt. I know that some of them are there by choice, either to make better of a situation or they have become used to being homeless(not having a set address) and it's comfortable for them. But some were obviously struggling.

It really made me rethink things.

 

It's OC & freight dependant. My DBL says the OC management makes those calls. FWIW, I stayed out too and all I got was short miles and trailer shuffle pay

 

Depends on freight & oc. Charlotte did $300 in july because high freight for back to school and fall. Then in August they did $500 because pg brown summit was running promo. Going to b awhile freight is going to soften, then get back up in 2,3 weeks for everyone's favorite time of year walmart taking all our emptys for black fri.
