I'll be sure to keep you in mind the first time it happens to me and I'm less than a couple of hours from home

I don't think I read whether you are a solo or team. If you are teaming you should try the E Logs. I thought I would hate them, but I love them.
As a team we just sign in and drive. The device tells us when the 30 minute BS break must be taken. It keeps you from violations.
I don't know if I would like them as a solo though, because of the shortened day that could occur.

usually you can go to off duty driving for an hour to get home. As a solo it might be a pain, being a team it doesn't matter.

If I'm more than an hour drive, no, it sit it out and deal with it, less than an hour, your #### right, and I'll promise you momma would be there every time to get me. Truck gets towed that's on me, if I can't get it parked with permission for a day, well then on me. If it's stolen, well it's insured, that's what theft deterrent and for locks are for.

Look I can do this all day, in the end its up to you and me the driver to make the right choice for each. Either do our don't. Sitting here throwing out hypothetical situations doesn't change things, the choices we make through out the week/day us what sets us up for the next step in out choices. I would hope what choices I make will be the right ones for the way I run. I will tell you this. I'm going home on either choice I do make. It's just a matter off what day it time.
