I think most tankers are based out of Gary vs. Indianapolis. There were a couple in my orientation at Indy, but they went to Gary after their time with a TE. As for o/o, I have no idea.

you sign it out and go for a ride. You've got an hour to bring it back. Generally, it's a fairly decent Tarus or malibu or somesuch......but every one I've ever been in was trashed out on the inside. But, it gets the job done.

About the same as every other car. Get in, turn the key, apply brake, shift gears, etc... ;)

Man last night sucked. Trying to switch to vampire hours after starting my day at 5am the morning before just won't happen lol. Got what little sleep I could during the day, but it wasn't much. Then of course I hit the road and my body immediately decides that NOW it is ready to sleep. Stopped and took an hour nap, didn't do much but whatever, pushed through and got stopped around 7am today. All ready to sleep like a baby for 8-10 hours then continue on vampire hours, right? Nope.

Woke up after about 4 hours of sleep and have been up all afternoon. LOL. I honestly don't know how some of you can go from driving daytime one day to nighttime the next and swap back and fourth all the time. I would fall asleep and kill someone trying to do that. Which is why I don't. So, decided to just hang out at the truck stop today, go to sleep at a normal time this evening, run these 2 more loads this week and then head home. Works out for the best anyway because then when I'm at home I'm be on a somewhat normal schedule with the rest of the world. Got a heavy load coming back up but its one I've ran a lot before and its all flat smooth sailing once I hit 95 so no big deal there. I've been getting really good MPG running my loads in the southeast, haven't had one fill-up below 7MPG. I'll probably drop to 6.5-6.8 with the 42k load, but who knows, might get lucky. Gonna drive that one nice and slow and see how I can do. Its funny it seems I can drive these light loads at 60MPH all day long, but as soon as I get a heavy load under me, I want to haul *** at 72MPH.

If the W900 I looked at is still for sale I am going to go take it and get it checked over, run on the dyno, etc. Gonna try to talk the seller way down on the price since it will need some work and I think his asking price is a bit high for the age and issues it has. We'll see how that goes. I'd love to be able to pay for it without having to get any financing whatsoever, we will see. No truck payment would be sweet, lol.

If that one is gone I've got a few others I'll go check out.

Dfo, that's why I miss the old rules. You had plenty of flexibility. Go to sleep, and if you woke up in a few hours, you might have a few hours to drive. Back in the day, if I couldn't sleep, I would just get up and drive about 3 hours and then I could stop and go to sleep, and just log it on the next day. So then I could sleep late, since I already had 3 hours done. Unfortunately, many drivers today didn't experience the flexibility, and have been brainwashed/reprogrammed to think that flexibility means driving tired. Actually, if you weren't an idiot, it meant driving when you were rested and sleeping when needed to sleep. Years ago I never drove tired. Now, I drive when it's legal and park when the law says so. I hope I made my point. Just complying with laws doesn't make you a safe driver. Being a safe driver makes you a safe driver.

I started right before the new rules went into effect and I know what you mean by the flexibility. For the most part, I have not many problems with elogs, but some days I sure miss paper. That gives a little flexibility here and there as long as you didn't go too crazy.
