Just kidden..
As Mary said.. I 25 -I 40- I 17.. Do not take the back roads "jill" wants to take. It's more miles taking the interstate but well worth it.Last edited: Sep 2, 2014

Unfortunately my Dad (86yrs old) took a fall down their porch stairs a couple weeks ago and rushed to the hospital. It was touch and go for a few days. We thought we were going to loose him there for a while.. Looks like he is making a come back tho..Thank God! With his on going health problems and now this, he has just been measurable.. Seems to be improving daily except for being in a lot of pain. They are talking about putting him in a rehab as soon as they (UCLA Hospital) can get him healed up a little and moving around better. Sad.. I feel so bad for him..
I was off for about 6 days to spend time with my Dad, cleaned out our storage and and got my PM done on the truck. Hoping to get by and see my Dad again soon but at the same time got to keep the wheels turning so I been back on the road now for about a week.. Had some good runs until I hit Oregon (my unicorn state for loads) Sitting at the OC in Portland all day trying figure out my best form of action to get my arse out of here with out loosing my arse..and finally picked a light load going back over to Utah.
With the holiday it made it difficult to preplanned my load out of O.R. before I got here.. Load board was a bit thin as the weekend approached. As I have said before .."staying the course and being more particular about picking loads". I waited to get a better selection of loads instead running off right away on some heavy cheapy load or a load with to much time on it! Which was about all there was available. Knowing the freight lanes and what you can expect out of the area helps with being able to wait a bit for better loads. Sometimes it doesn't pay to wait to long either it's a balancing act in my opinion! Kinda cool tho..Keeps things interesting.
$6760.00 was my approximate take home for month of August after all expenses and including several days at home. Not super awesome, but still doing ok.
Keeping it real!
Until next time
Roll on!mickimause, stevep1977, Drifter42 and 4 others Thank this. -
Best wishes on a speedy and healthy recovery
