Hazmat must stop at scales?

If you have an alliance for uniform hazmat permit, you only need to pull in to Arizona & Arkansas. Without that permit, you also need to pull into Ohio & West Virginia.

Yes, thanks for the notation on the AUHP....I always seem to forget about that...seems I just forgot about this a few weeks ago!

 

I thought it was Virginia not west Virginia

 

I know Arizona is one you have to stop at with hazmat even when you get the green light. But this does bring up another question. When pulling hazmat through Arizona and those two lighted signs before the scale say 'truck bypass weigh station' can you keep rolling or should you stop anyway?

Also be sure to read signage approaching the scale. More then a few states will instruct ALL HM haulers to cross the scales (if open). And I assume they mean to "Cross The Scales", regardless what pre-pass and the initial weigh-in-motion director says.
