No matter what you do or learn, remember that you need to put that safety net up when you are in that bunk because there is nothing like a fast stop by the driver to make you fly out of that bunk and get killed.

I read this whole thing and just had to chuckle.................it's just my opinion.........but if you can manage to make a truck go up and down the road you OUGHT to be able to figure out how to get into bed!!!!!

I'm 6'2" I just put left foot on the edge of the lower bunk, stepped with the right foot on the step that is on the shelf, threw my left leg up and rolled onto the top bunk, Easy Peasy!

Actually, I'm short and have weak upper body strength so this could become an issue for me. I recently started a gym membership at Planet Fitness as they don't judge to include a membership at a local indoor rock climbing school. This also includes the purchase of an emergency rope ladder, I figure with the gym and rock climbing I should be able to manage with the use of the ladder, if not I could just curl up on the floor in front of my trainer...

If I had actually went back into the sleeper I wouldn't have even made this post. I let my mind tell me it was going to be harder than it is because of it. I was just standing at the seats realizing it was almost above my trainers head.

Kickstand - all the best with your training. Do you know how long you'll be with your trainer?

wow! most trainers don't allow their students to use the top bunk

    1) its against company policy to use the top bunk while vehicle is moving
    2) the truck doesn't stop so there is no reason to use the top bunk (see #1)

Have your trainer get on his hands and knees. Then use him as a step stool. No offense bro but if you can't figure out how to get on the top bunk I'm not so sure you should be driving a big truck. Especially if you're clumsy.
