Yeah the guy here told me I wasn't required to do a roadtest on my self, that's why I thought you were joking. But I brought up the requirement that we must be allowed 15 minutes to straighten out our logbook. He said it doesn't exist.

You say you're going to the audit. I thought they held these at your main business office. Maybe each state is different.
-
Yeah I posted the same thing. They come to your house/office so you can't say you left a file or something home.

I had a mini-audit online/over the phone. The fmcsa sent a letter offering me a choice of having a traditional in person audit or having me upload a bunch of documents to the fmcsa website. I chose the later and a month or so later a CHP commercial officer looked over all the stuff, called me saying he had been assigned the case, complemented me on my logs (I logged on duty during a plane trip to pick up my truck out of state), asked for a couple more things, and after a week of casual review said I passed & that the fmcsa would continue closely monitoring me for the next year or two.
Perhaps unrelated, but afterward my prepass began green-lighting me ~95% of the time. -
Probably not unrated. I go through my local 1 without having to do the song and dance ever since my audit.

When I had mine, I had everything laid out in order on table. All files in all catigories when DOT Officer asked for something I could hand it to them. Look as professional as you can be. Also if you are a one truck company with one driver you don't need a road test your cdl is your road test and make sure you have a copy of it and a certified copy of your driver history from BMV in your driver file. Mu audit was painless verry nice DOT Officer, and I learned a lot from them also. I passed with minor correction on two itemsOne I fixed while they were there ( how paperwork was done) and one I had to send in. After required waiting period I received perminent operating authority. Also make sure your logs are good for the required time frame. They inspect all logs from when you applied to when you get the audit. That is one thing I had to fix. I forgot to total the 24 hour period no fine just write in the number and go on. She even gave. Me better ways to do The logs and time sheets was better than what I was doing. I run a lot of 100 air mile radious and she gave a map location with big circle that showed where my 100 mile air was from my business address. I had been worried as it was an unknown and verry important. When I was finished, I was like that was all. You will do well with prior planning and they like well organized paperwork
Skate-Board Thanks this. -
Hi there, thanks for the info.
When you mentioned " They inspect all logs from when you applied to when you get the audit." does it mean from the day of you began driving Class-A or from the day you applied for your authority. Thanks
