Exactly. That's why I always love the armchair lawyers who yammer on about how someone could make a fortune if they sued the company for this or that. I especially love it when they say you won't have any trouble finding a lawyer to take the case. My first response is always pick up the phone and try. Open the phonebook and call ten lawyers and tell them what you want to do. See how many hang up on you.

No company even half the size of Swift implements any kind of new program or policy change no matter who small until an ARMY of lawyers has examined it from every angle and signed off on it.

And there is the problem, expecting a driver to voluntarily give up his rights and sign a consent in order to remain employed. That opens the door to litigation. What are you going to tell me next, that if I want to keep my job I can expect to sign a consent allowing my employer watch me take a shower at their terminal?

I do not have any standing to file a lawsuit against Swift, though if the same were to occur here at Walmart, I could, and will. Your opinion means little about finding an attorney. Already have one, and the money to pursue a case if needed, just like the case I have against Walmart now for discrimination that they wish to settle. It isn't the size of the dog in the fight, it is the size of the fight in the dog.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Maybe you could find an attorney if you have the money?

What litigation exactly? Companies require employees to sign away rights and/or give legal consent every day.

Maybe the one you work for does. Companies also lose lawsuits every day too. Your straw man argument of the issues is boring.

Again. Go ahead and try. Pick up the phone and call ten lawyers. Tell them you work for Swift and want to sue because they're going to put a camera in your truck. See how far you get. I can almost guarantee you that how much money you have won't even be discussed before they tell you to have a nice day and hang up.

Lawyers work for money, not for causes. Maybe you don't have the money, but myself and others do. End of story.

No they don't actually. They lose once in a while but that's about it.

my son wants to own a truck, (emphasis on own ).. if he does buy one i'm going to drive it so that he has a decent chance of success ... that said there will be a camera system on it... forward , down both sides and in the rear if we own the trailer... it's so much easier to say to the officer, after an incident , and he asks your side "come with me and i'll show you".. also as a side benefit, cameras "MAY" improve some of the bad habits, tailgating , lane changes with out, or minimal signals, ect... just sayin

I have no problem with cameras facing the road. I have my own doing just that now, not one provided by the company. Also have one on each of my vehicles.
