WOW, my internet was down for a while, I was shocked at the number of responses. Anybody remember 1984? That was made in 1949! The movie "Enemy of the State" freaked me out, and why I'm convinced, privacy laws or not, it's all around us. Why, someone at TTR is probably watching me right now.( HELLO) I think cameras are everywhere, your radar detector, your DVR, behind the high beam indicator on your dash. Paranoid, you bet, and for good reason. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, and I know it doesn't solve anything, but I'm so glad I trucked when I did, and I'm so glad I'm done with it. Good luck, all, it's only going to get worse.
Camera's are coming to a truck near you or Yours.

- You claimed cameras in trucks are illegal and companies that do it should get sued over state and federal law violations.
- I disagreed with you and asked you to prove what you said was true by posting the actual laws you claim would be violated.
- You hemmed and hawed and finally did post a law.
- It took me less than 5 minutes to find specific text in that law which makes what you claim to be illegal perfectly legal.
- You then claimed that text wouldn't apply because it 'opens the door to litigation'.
- I asked you to specify which litigation exactly and after more hemming and hawing instead of providing any kind of rational or factual answer to the question, the only response you can come up with is some goofball claim about your income level qualifying you to know what you're talking about.
So that's it then. If you want to back up your claims with facts and actual proof, I'd be happy to discuss the topic further with you. But since don't seem to be able to do that, I will assume we're done here. Up until the last bit, I thought it was pretty informative discussion though so maybe some good came out of it. -

The really ironic part of this whole deal is that almost every device people use to post on this forum is equipped with a camera facing the user. Laptops, tablets, smart phones, they all have inward facing cameras these days. And its widely known that malicious infections can allow remote persons to take over control of your devices camera without you knowing it.
So its very possible that some of the very same drivers who are screaming the loudest about how they will never allow a spy cam in their truck, may already have a spy cam watching them in their truck, in their home and anywhere else they choose to use their web connected device."semi" retired Thanks this. -

My two cents. These cameras have been in school buses for at least three years now. I had no challenges when I was driving a school bus. I have to ponder, what are you guys doing in your trucks that you wouldn't want your company to know? Yes believe me I'm a huge supporter of the Constitution. I understand the references to 1984. I proffer this, if you HALLUCINATE for a millisecond you are not being "watched" presently, I have some oceanfront property in AZ for sale, awesome pricing! Is it a change? Yes. Is it a big deal? Not really. TBH, I'd MUCH rather have a video recording if anything does happen to back up MY version of the incident.
