Works ok. I only carry my 4' now. I have been running a lot of steady freight for a handful of agents. Life is good and I'm very happy here

I got an agent who could put me on with some no tarp lumber stakes paying pretty well. Just the other stuff I'm worried about which I'm not good at Tarping & Channing.

Is layover supposed to be paid at 100%. Its not listed in appendix A of the contract. I see detention and its 100%, but layover isnt listed. Got 400$ to sit a day and LS took 35% of it:(

    Layover was 100% until Katrina.

Yea then they figured how much we where making sitting there, but then again FEMA was a good deal during Katrina. Not anymore.
If you have a good agent you can get creative with the accsorials and move some of the pay to tarping, rampang, cribing ect

Hi guys, I've been looking at Landstar for some time now and have one question for all of you. I'm from Utah and want to stay mostly in the west, would I be wise to get a Cali complaint truck or is there enough freight out west to keep me out of Cali? Thanks.

Yes, If you just want to stay west get a California Compliant truck. California is the hub of western freight and you should be able to keep pretty busy.

    Stoney7 Thanks this.
