I've heard to run a check valve out of a 1mm or a 7cz in my 5ek to hold more pressure. Is anybody doing this and what were the results?

you can but I would also bypass the return line that runs through the ecm if you already haven't and up date with the newer style transfer pump.

yeah you don't have to, but it eliminates a couple of 90 deg fittings when it is bypassed causing a little less restriction.

Why would you run the hot return fuel thru your ECM. The ECM has fuel running thru it to cool it.
Bypassing it all together is even more stupid.
Dont you think the cat enginers designed it that way for a reason. Just sayin. Geez.

not talking about running hot fuel through. im talking about bypassing the return fuel line that runs through the ecm and routing it direct to the fuel valve base.do it all the time never burnt an ecm up without it. it doesn't make much of a difference on the cooling of it and you get rid of a few 90 deg angle fittings.

This guy is talking about running the hot return fuel thru the ECM.
I can't see that being good for cooling.
But hey. Just don't run any fuel thru it. Don't need it any how , right. :biggrin_25513:

that's how they are setup from factory. the return fuel (IS) ran through the ecm on a 5ek. bypassing the ecm and routing the line straight to the valve control body eliminates running it through the ecm. or better yet install the newer style filter base from a 6nz or newer and eliminate the extra valve base and all those extra fittings that restrict fuel flow.
