lol, awww how kind of you.. you're such a sweet guy.

btw fat truck drivers are everywhere, everybody knows that.. you're just trying to troll Crete.
If I really was trolling you'd see me saying Prime got lightweight trucks because soo many of their truck drivers are 700 pounds plus so they had to cut wight somehow and that their drivers all gained that weight because they never step foot outside because they're stuck in drivers seat all day having to go 52 MPH all day to meet of all Prime's wonderful policies.
    :biggrin_2559:

Actually what I say comes from what I've learned through Prime's website, research and what others have shared. Plus a year ago I actually tried to get hired by Prime and spoke to them on the phone.
Through that yes I have learned of some polices and pay etc.

As much as you like to imagine I'm trolling Prime.. you'll notice on other threads I praise them for their higher pay than most which was the main reason I was interested in working for them in the first place.

I'm sorry me stating the obvious of Primes slow cheap trucks upsets you while you're always trying to be a cheerleader for them.
That doesn't make me a "troll" though.

The term troll, is one you haven't tried to pin just on me..

As far as speed goes if you say it's 58 on pedal and 62 on cruise... then automatically we should believe you right? and the source in the link I shared is lying.

well there's more sources too... guess they're all lying including other drivers for them..

"Also, 57 mph is awfully slow especially considering HOS regs."
"Yea, that thought occurred to me also, governed @ 57 vs say 62. It's only 5 mph, but like you say, after 70 hrs , thats 350 miles difference. Of course, with the better pay rate, it might even out ... I'll have to do the math"

    http://www.truckingtruth.com/trucke...uestions-about-prime-lease-vs-company-drivers

"The engine is smaller and the speed is governed at 57 MPH for additional fuel savings. That's pretty slow."

    http://www.truckingtruth.com/trucke...-lightweight-trucks-pictures-and-descriptions

I guess all these people are trolls posting BS about Prime as well.. including the very drivers for them right?
That must be the way you look at it.

As you see I've done my research, including on you because you just so happen to be on nearly every Prime thread.
My posting of "BS" is really me making statements through research and of other sources.. which some of I even just posted here.
Those people must be lying trolls though, darn.

No, he is ######## about the fact that I stated the Light weight trucks weigh about 10,000lbs less then a full size condo and he assumes he knows everything about Prime and how these trucks are specd without ever working here or stepping foot on Prime property. He is just a Troll trying to spread miss information for some reason or another. As IronPony stated earlier, he works for Crete.

If it was only a 3,000 lbs difference like he claims, I can't see our customer putting up with the higher rates or Prime, who finds every way possible to save on cost to go with the light weight trucks then. Oh, well, all we can do as drivers who actually WORK FOR PRIME is tell the truth and put the correct information out there. I get it, all the trolls on these forums and the haters of great companies like Prime would have nothing else to do if we weren't around. But lets be honest, Prime is a company that treats all if it's drivers like they are important. They offer drivers benefits to help them better themselves while on the road through programs like Driver Health and Fitness or the Success Scholarship Education program where you can earn your Bachelors degree while driving for Prime and Prime covers 50% of the cost of the Online courses. Then of course there are the many benefits at the terminals such as the spa, accounting services, cafeterias that cook very good food, full gym and very reduced rates at the hotels Prime's owner owns.

The list of why Prime is such a good company goes on and you can go to any truck stop and talk to a Prime driver and they are usually happy, upbeat, and willing to talk. You know Prime must be doing something right when even the Techs at the TA and Petro recommend Prime as a company to work for because of how the drivers all seem happy, treat the techs with respect, and Prime is pretty fast on approving the work that needs to be done.

Did I mention the retirement plan? Ya, they actually have one where they offer a nice matching 401K, plus for every year you are here they add money to it as a way of saying thank you for your continued service with us.

Ya, that is a huge list of why everyone hates Prime ;) I am sure other Prime Drivers can chime in as to why they like working here and what makes it an amazing company to work for. By the way, I am not a recruiter or desk jockey. I am an actual company driver who loves it here.

It wasn't meant as an insult, and apparently redoctober didn't take it that way, as you can see below.

Oh please, that's absurd and ridiculous.

Another comment saying I'm a troll trying to spread miss information.

Are you blind? I posted links to sources of what I bring up.
Articles were written about Prime's lightweight truck:

    http://www.thetrucker.com/News/Stor...panydriverstoreceivesizeablepermileboost.aspx

Where are the links and sources to back up your claim of it being 10000LBS less? perhaps it's actually you trolling and spreading miss information about your own company.

You just said, "If it was only a 3,000 lbs difference like he claims, I can't see our customer putting up with the higher rates or Prime"
Well that's a fact sir, 49-50K of freight in the lightweight trucks.. there's more info on this. Perhaps you should learn a little bit more about your own company you're working for before spewing BS about them.

FYI I don't "hate" Prime, I praise them for paying better than most.
I hate places like Werner, USA truck, TranScam , CR England, Swift.. etc etc because they pay garbage.
and what I hate even more is the drivers for work for them because I know that drivers that accept low pay screws us all in the end.

You'll see me complain about Crete, as I have.. they have UGLY slow trucks also. 62MPH when I use came from a company that had it at 65MPH.
The trucks here are so cheap and ugly it's sad.
However they having matching 401K and they have something called Profit sharing which from what I understand paid drivers an extra $1500 last year which I guess you can term as a bonus.
I came here with 7 months experience and they gave me .43 and the miles have been good so far.

You all need to stop thinking I hate Prime.
We're similar in a way, we've both chosen to work for companies with slow cheap trucks for better pay.
    I have respect for that.

My resource and proof is in the scale tickets from the loads I have picked up. I have been in both Condo size and currently I am in a Light Weight truck now. I just picked up a load this weekend where me, a light weight, and a team, in a condo, were both loaded to the max possible. We were both within 200lbs of being at 80,000lbs. According to our bol's, I had about 10,000 more on my trailer then they did.

I will say, that it can also depend on the trailers as well. Each year Prime purchases new trailers that are lighter then previous years, so our difference in weight could be the combination of a tractor that is 3-4,000 lbs light like you said and a trailer that could be equally as light. The combination of the two could lead to the situation I described above about this load I am on now.

Other then real life experience with both types of trucks, I do not have some kind of newspaper source to quote you. So it would be safe to say we are both right.

As for calling you a troll, that assumption was based off of how your first response to my post came across. Typically that is how I have seen the trolls on here attack. Maybe in the future we both can word our responses in such a way we don't come across as attacking someone.

This thread is a good source of info for new drivers and potential drivers as a few people have said earlier.

Thank you for your effort to promote truthful and accurate information, I try as hard as possible to do the same.

    Be Safe out there.

Don't have one and wouldn't want to try and fit a second person in here. If I wanted to have passengers, I would get a condo where there would be room enough for 2 people to co-habitate.
