Hi, graduated from school Friday (yay!!). Got a piece of paper I guess I am supposed to frame and hang up lol!!
I am dry fitting my goods today leaving out this week. Must I have a bag that zips? It is 14" wide, 14" tall, 20" long - open topped securely packed with a weeks worth of goods. Is this acceptable??
will have another similar size bag with Timmy and tommy (small pillows I can't be without) and a sleeping bag.
Then a small back pack with purse, notebook, iPad, small little items.
I can carry all three items and not look like I am relocating. Is this gonna work better than 1 giant duffle?
I appreciate all feedback and have learned so much from this site.

Keep in mind, you will have very limited space in the trainers truck as they will already have all their stuff in it. You should be ok with what you described, but may end up sleeping with these bags on your bunk. I prefer closed bags as things have a way of getting tossed around in the cab of a truck from time to time and you don't want all your stuff falling out onto the floor. Either way, good luck with your new career.
hal380 and Miatiawanna Thank this. -

Congratulations. You'll have to come back often and let us know how it's going.
Miatiawanna Thanks this. -
You're good to go! Don't forget the shower shoes!

You better check with the trainer or company to see how long you will be out. One week cloths may not be enough, unless you plan on doing laundry, time factor there. Just a thought.
Miatiawanna and hal380 Thank this. -
a training truck can only run 14 hrs a day (if doing it right) that leaves a 10 hr break . enough time to do laundry and still get food shower and sleep ( most people don't sleep 10 hrs, and the idea that a 10 hr break is only done in the sleeper is bunk)

Not when they run like a team, which a lot of them do, as in Werner.Miatiawanna and hal380 Thank this.

Yes. I think after the "intro" phase it becomes team like. I chose KLLM out if Richland MS. They have been great so far.....(and they are close to home).

The Phase 1 training truck that I was on with CR England had two (2) trainees and the trainer, so not only did we have very little space but the truck was usually running 24/7 while the trainer spent most of his time sleeping/talking on the phone/listening to music in the upper bunk. Needless to say, I hope the OP is not going into a situation like that. Congratulations and Good Luck!semi retired semi driver and hal380 Thank this.
