Some weeks I'll get ¢5/mile bonus others it'll only be ¢2/mile bonus. Just depends on your mpg for the week.
The actual bonus ranges from ¢1.65/mile @ 7.75mpg up to ¢8.2/mile @ 10.75mpg. If you average 8.5mpg you'll make ¢3.7/mile which isn't hard to do.
So if you average 2,500/week @ ¢46/mile (¢43/MI base + ¢3/MI fuel bonus) = $1,150/week
If you run 52 weeks and take no time off you'll make $59,800.
But let's be realistic and say you work 46 weeks and take 6 weeks off a year you'll make just on milage pay $52,900 a year.
You'll also have detention pay, city work pay, additional stops pay, breakdown pay, pay for taking the Smith system class, all of which will add up as well.
Hope that helps.mtnbikeadam and Chinatown Thank this. -
Is rather shoot myself in the face then drive a truck governed at 61 mph then drive it 57 mph Jesus Christ. I'll take my .36 and miles I get now and my 8-1,000 take home then put and make my self a hazard on the road for some stupid fuel bonus.

I tell new drivers to bank 6 months of their cost of living if they can. Even if they can not hit that much still sock away some. That way you'll have a cushion to fall back on plus you will not have to go in debt anymore. Go through your income and expenses and cut it to the bone. The first year is the toughest and it's the make it or break it time.

OP, this is too easy. If, I mean that, if you drive 12 months, you'll get about 128,000 to 140,000 miles. Multiply by $.30 to $.32 and you'll get exactly what your annual 1st year income will come out to. The net pay, that's all about you. Dependents, deductions, so on will determine your annual net. See? Easy. -
I'm in my first year (local) and make $20.50/hr. Once I hit my 1 year mark there are other companies that pay better and have better benefits.
