let me guess all you bashers are at a compnay making (insert figure here), get as many miles as you want (insert another figure here) and are home anytime you want (insert another figure here). This is a thread about the new pay increase not bashing swift. I look at every trucking companies thread and see bashing. I look out in the parking lot of any TS and see most every company so I do not let you bashers determine my future period.

All trucking companies have people talking trash. I don't care if you were making 1.00 per mile 4000 mikes a week and home every night some one would complain. Or Someone would have it better making more per mile , miles and home time some people are not happy if their not complaining.

looks like T_Trucker is one of them , as this thread was for pay increase not bashing Swift as he keeps insisting the pay is .26 when actually the pay is .34 to start with no experience. and I dont know why someone would complain after still being a company driver after 16 months lol

The way I seen it we all are truck drivers doing the same thing trying to make a living for our family. There is to many lazy @@@ drivers out there that always complain about something are always refuses loads or saying I will not go there, load planners dispatches reminder this stuff the when payday comes its the companies fault they did not make any money.

At least they claim to refuse to go to a certain place. Chances are when told to go to a certain destination they do exactly wht they are told. Anyone that had been in this business very long knows that load refusal will result in consequences that are unpleasant. It is very much like CB tough guys, easy to be a bad ### on radio and on internet.

Yes. Someone averaging 550+ miles per day, every day, would not have the time to play around too much.

I posted early in this thread about what I am actually making now. Up to .51 plus for the shorter loads. That doesn't seem to matter to K_K.
Is that because his company only pays a set rate, no matter the distance?
Or is it because he simply wants to rag on a dead horse because he likes to hear himself speak.

I am currently working at a Target account as a surge driver. It pays very well - a guaranteed amount every day that I work.
But even if I were working at the normal OTR rates I would be making very good money, because most of the loads are less than 200 loaded miles.

The new pay schedule at Swift is nothing like what 'others' have said.
In fact, it may be even better than what 'they' are making at a set rate.

Why do you really want to work for a company that it takes for them to be hurting before they decide they need to treat their drivers better and give them a pay raise? As opposed to a company that pays their drivers great, and when they see some more income coming in each year, they just up and decide to pass some of that money back to their drivers with another raise? On one hand you have a crooked company that thinks about nothing but itself, and on the other you have a company that understands that success is generated by sharing the business's success with everyone involved in the company.

A company should not operate to promote success only to the elites in it.

Moosetek13 - Can you post the new pay schedule? If not the entire pay scale can you post the numbers for new inexperienced drivers vs. load length miles like you did earlier for your current personal situation. Thanks
