Xlsdraw, no one else but Crete knows truly what their paying. It could be $100 or nothing at all. Yet they profit from everyone they diagnose. Therefore the only logical explanation for Crete taking on the burden is that it is a money making endeavor and not pure risk mitigation.
If you think Crete is right then you should have never quit and you should accept your fate. There is no need to re-test if Crete/Sleep Pointe is on the up and up.

Am I the only one working today?

I try to be fair and balanced with my posts. I will have the VA review Sleep Pointe 's medical record they are sending to my VA PCP. I will follow the VA instructions. I knew I would not attempt to transition to a cpap on the road and I advised Crete such prior to the test. I fully expect the transition to be difficult and home is where I choose to face this challenge as well as the other health issues I have going on. Good chance I'll pursue driving locally if I can ever get these medical issues resolved.
TruckerJimbo and TruckDuo Thank this. -
Reminder guys: brake tests by the DOT will be going on nationally Sept. 7th - 13th.

I was on-time to my appointment, the customer missed the appointment. (Literally. 07 appointment, The dock workers didn't show until 08.) -
Ditto. 1200 show time, trailer supposed to have been preloaded overnight. I show up at 1130 and I'm told "come back at 2"... I sit on the yard and about 1630 the customer comes out and tells me the trailer's ready. All this trouble for a load to Jersey that I didn't want in the first place.

Same here, arrived 0200, told they can't match my pickup numbers but they have 3 loads "ready" but would be at least 2 1/2 hours. 158 mile load with no chance of detention. (As if.)
Arrived 0200, finished 0630 at the drop and there aren't any MT's . Of course there are preloaded trailers ready but apparently that's not in my future.Last edited: Sep 9, 2014

Sleep Pointe promptly sent the test results to my VA PCP. He had them in hand when I went in today to my appt for my other issues. He will forward the results to the VA's Sleep Disorder folks. He gave me a copy and I am not mild or moderate. I have Severe Sleep Apnea, associated with oxyhemoglobin desaturations, according to Sleep Pointe's test. 39 AHI, nearly double the DOT allowance. I doubt the VA will even bother retesting with results that high. Time to move past the denial stage.
