I am 41, I have had sleep apnea since a teen. Once you find the right mask for a comfortable fit and u get used to using it, you should start feeling an alertness that you didn't realize you were doing without. If you fight it, you can get frustrated, if you accept it, it will correct symptoms you never knew you had. Sleep apnea sneaks up on people, it is a slow killer, that's why most people don't believe they have it. It also puts a big strain on your heart. It is not just about fatigue. I am glad you got your second opinion from someone you trust, it could have saved your life. It did mine. Good luck to you.

Get retested, you'd be foolish to trust sleep Pointe.

If you want a cpap, get a cpap. If you can avid putting it on your record tho, DO IT! You won't have a choice after. You will wear it every night , or my be able to drive. Having a leak or taking it off in your sleep doesn't make any difference for compliance.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I repowered a load today as I'm nearing home time. Load assignment said "this load doesn't pay detention"... well I'm at the consignee and have been waiting here 6 hours now.
It feels like they take one box out of the trailer every 30 minutes.
good news is I might get in a 34 hour reset here right before home time lolxlsdraw Thanks this. -
Which fine Consignee might this be? You can bet your last dollar that the original driver and his AM knew it was a dog, hence serve it to the new guy. -
The 3rd 600 plus mile day in a row, 679 hub miles today, slam a 10 and deliver the 1st stop in the morning,

saturday I found out I got a new asset manager, I only found out when they were seeing if it was really me to give me an express code for a lumper.xlsdraw Thanks this. -
if I could get it tested free at the VA, I would. -
I resigned. Crete's policy requires immediate continuation of the process through Sleep Pointe, I'd assume so that your pulling freight again for them a few days after the test. Also keeps the driver earning. My concern with trying to get a retest through the VA is how much longer it would push back me becoming eligible to earn a living again driving a truck. The VA typically moves at a snails pace. I'm sure most would like for a retest with an outcome contrary to Sleep Pointe 's test results but I need to get back earning asap. If the VA accepts Sleep Pointe 's findings, I be eligible to seek employment sooner.
tucker Thanks this.
