Man you guys are posting some great pics.
I havent added any in a while. Thought I would share.
No particular order, just some loads and a few extra I thought you guys might like to see.
Heavy Equipment,.. pretty much my favorite load to do, especially when they have a loading dock and I dont have to break out my ramps.
.
.
I ended up letting the air out of the tires on this one. I had a partial up front and this fuel truck was 11'4 on its own. My deck is 3'2. I got it down to 13'11 total height after yanking down on the suspension and dropping air pressure to 10 PSI.
.
.
My wife and a very easy light military tanker load from Utah to Texas.
.
.
In Dallas,.. lady who didnt understand what the go pedal is for. I'm doing about 45 in a 55 zone. She's merging on,.. I had 3 cars to the left of me. She's riding out the merge lane, I'm thinking she'll get a clue and step on it. Nope. I'm a own your lane kind of guy. I'm not wrecking my truck and watching someone else drive off. Plus I have a dash cam and 2 other side cams I just bought. She got the ticket. I got to sit and run out of hours waiting for a trooper to show up.
.
.
Another military load from Wisconsin to Las Vegas.
.
.
Delivered this load,...
Out to here and only way to get to this guys property was down this narrow excuse for an un-truck friendly excuse for a road. I knew this would get harry when my wife and I saw this sign. I figure if its bad for bicycles, it cant be any better for semi trucks. LOL
.
.
2 giant weeners and a rack.
.
.
Gotta love rednecks. Just north of Memphis.
.
.
Sunset in Missouri
.
.
An easy light well paying over size from Minnesota down to Memphis.
.
.
My little girl doing what she does best,.. head out and drooling all over everything.
Hope you guys enjoy,..
Hurst

How did you not shread her tire?
-
Her story was that I sped up and wouldnt let her merge. I never let her know I had it all on video. Showed the video to the trooper. Sent a copy to my insurance company in case she tried to claim injury. Havent heard anything since.
I have 3 cameras. 1 on a suction cup in the middle of my windshield, then I have 2 smaller all weather cameras mounted on each mirror brace, then comes inside to a USB port on my laptop that converts both feeds into a single split image video showing each side of my truck from about the middle of the tractor down to the end of the trailer. The Go Pro is GPS enabled and shows speed. I've got a little over $750 invested in this set up (Not including my laptop). The all weather cameras do pretty good in the rain. Though I am not sure how they will handle snow and ice. I'd like to build some kind of small open ended box for them to sit inside to protect them from that kind of weather but not sure how to mount it. I'll figure something out. My wife was hesitant to buy the second set of cameras, saying that the dash cam would be enough. This one incident saved my tookus so I feel they were worth every penny. Sad we have to do this to protect us from people that have no respect for other drivers.

What cameras do you have?
-
I hear you there, wish i had those on my company truck. Boss man would owe me a case of beer a week for all the idiots i keep from killing themselfs aginst my truck every week! Years ago i was driving a rolloff pulling pup some woman merged into my auto tarp rack that protected my dueleys, tore up her front end. When the cop got there her actual statment was. "I was changing lanes he shouldnt have been there, becuse thats where i was going". Had to have the company suit man drop a cese and desist when she tried suing me and the company for her stupidity

I now use the Top Dawg dash cam with its own built in GPS system.
For the side mirrors I'm using this setup from Diesel Boss.

Haven't posted in a while but this was one of the widest loads I pulled (11.5'ish)

and this ended up being the load from hell
and the reason while I will "try" to never haul pipe again -
Why was the pipe a load from hell ?
-
With larger pipe like that its usually not a big issue, but I've had smaller pipe get loose and the inside will want to walk out the back. Belly strapping prevents this.
Layered pipe on dunnage like this is much better than places that want to stack the pipe in a pyramid. I had a bad experience once, I belly ached about them loading the pipe in a pyramid and they gave me the typical, "We do this everyday" "All our drivers run like this". So I reluctantly caved in. But I was smart enough to chain up my pipe stakes as they were loading it. It was a long haul from near Salt Lake down to Wheeler Tx. I got about 300 mi from Wheeler and one of the wedges decided to let go and the pipe collapsed on itself and the only thing holding it together was my pipe stakes. Since then I refuse to run pipe in a pyramid. When they give me the speech, I reply with "This is my truck and its my license on the line". They grumble and look at me like I'm trying to be a PITA,.. but I get it loaded my way. If they only understood that I'm just parnoid.
I keep plenty of dunnage, plus I run 10, 4" straps on each side of my trailer (20 straps in total) and also have 8, 2" ratchet binders. I'm a better to have and not need, than to need and not have kind of guy.
