why do Bobtails do this?

    Well I got a reputation to keep if I'm bob tailing and park all the way in the back it's because the lot lizard I might have in my truck prefer it that way and so do I he'll I don't want nobody seen a 400 llbs lot lizard coming out my truck

    Same here, I will always try to find a bobtail spot and only park in the big truck spot when nothing else is available.

    I meant like over in the car or RV parking lot or the bobtail area, not at a Walmart or on the on ramp or on the roof of somebody's house.

    I just make up a spot on the side or something. I wouldn't take a real spot.

    courtesy is not inconveniencing anyone else
    when bobtail i park anywhere out of the way
    and leave 70 foot spots for 70 footers

    marmonman are you going to be able to fix the hood? i dont think it would be a easy task to find a replacement hood. be safe out there

    Ya he didn't tear it up to bad just enough to be a pain in the hood !!
    I got estimates that both say about 3 grand !!
    The old Chicago Marmon dealer still had a short hood for 1500.00 but I need the long one of course .
    I didn't call the guy in Texas at marmonparts to see if he had one .
