That's not entirely true. A dialysis technician only makes $15 or $16 an hour top and has at least 10 times the responsibility of a corporate CEO. Pharmacists make six figures? That is news to me.

Regardless of pay it's what you want and what you will do for it. Some people are content without a pot to piss in. Others want a gold one. I have a simple but almost full proof rule to keep myself in check. Don't live beyond you means. The home on 20 acres is more important "to me" than a Harley or speed boat or take your pick. After about a million miles of trucking I decided it wasn't all it was cracked up to be so I figured to work less and make more. So decades later I've made that happen(union)and on the brink of retirement. It's up to you to make it happen.

My older brother is a CEO... took him 4 years in college to get a degree, then started low on the corporate ladder worki g at a bank during the day and more college at night to get a BA and Masters.. all in all 6 to 8 years in college... not cheap either... cant do community college for that...

It took him year after year to make his way up the corporate ladder.... but yes, he is now a CEO...

He is 18 months older than me... but, the stress of the corporate world has been tough on him... high blood pressure... stated having bad anxiety attacks a couple years ago... usually when he has to make a decision that can cost his company billions... he worries and frets... who wouldn't. .. he literally has nightmares and wakes up in a cold sweat worried that he bankrupt his company and all the workers are out of a job and homeless..

I too went to college and started out in the corporate world... but hated the stress and backstabbing. .. so, I went blue collar... and dont have gray hair, high blood pressure and sleep sound and sweet...

I guess that is where I am lucky. .. I am one of the few who chooses to be a truck driver and nkt ordered or condemned to be... so, I dont spend a lot of time thinking how much better everyone else has it... instead I watch the beautiful country at 65mph and think... so glad I am not stuck in an office somewhere. .

One thing to never forget. You're the master of your destiny. Blaming others for your failures gets you nowhere. If you don't make enough money, it's your fault. Like I always say, you gotta learn how to work, kid.

Sheep dog CEO of large financial institutions collapsed the whole economy and still got bonuses. You can find a CEO most days explaining under oath that he did not know that bad thing was happening on his watch. You can also look at where the wealth was distributed and where it is now. this is from Wikipedia.
In 2007 the richest 1% of the American population owned 34.6% of the country's total wealth, and the next 19% owned 50.5%. Thus, the top 20% of Americans owned 85% of the country's wealth and the bottom 80% of the population owned 15%. Financial inequality was greater than inequality in total wealth, with the top 1% of the population owning 42.7%, the next 19% of Americans owning 50.3%, and the bottom 80% owning 7%.[SUP][10][/SUP]
After the Great Recession which started in 2007, the share of total wealth owned by the top 1% of the population grew from 34.6% to 37.1%, and that owned by the top 20% of Americans grew from 85% to 87.7%. The Great Recession also caused a drop of 36.1% in median household wealth but a drop of only 11.1% for the top 1%.[SUP][9][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP][SUP][11][/SUP]

We all have those days. The key (for me) is to remember it's only a snapshot and focus on my goals: profit margins and 1,000,000 at fault accident free miles.
