Unholy 7, how's the OTR going. Have you been issued your own truck yet? I haven't updated for a while. I ended up taking some time off. I'm in route to Florida this morning. I'll post an update tonight or tomorrow. Everyone stay safe.

Sorry to here that. Well I'm glad your training is over. I would get with the Doctor and get the correct medicine. Once it's controlled, get the required paper work from the Doctor and go from there.

Update: Well a couple of weeks ago I had home time planned for a Monday and Tuesday. The week before I was in northern Florida. My wife called and told me her mother had a stroke and when she fail she fractured her spine and busted her face pretty good. I called my Fleet Manager and told him what was going on and he sent my to the Macon yard. They had the personal that worked there pick up my Bass Pro load from the Shipper and take it the yard. When I arrive, the trailer was ready to roll. I took it to a store in Nashville, dropped it and picked up returns going to Springfield, MO. After I delivered the load I went home. My Fleet Manager told my to take all the time I needed. I told him I was going back out that Thursday. Well, I ended up calling him to let him know I wasn't ready yet. He told me to take all the time I needed. After getting most everything squared away I ended up being home the entire week. I left out the following Monday and I'm currently on my second week. When I came back out I went from Springfield, MO to Pendergrass, GA to Georgetown, S.C. to Kansas City, MO to North Kansas City, MO to FT Worth, TX to Garland, TX to Springdale, AR. That was Monday through Saturday. Total miles for 5 1/2 days was 2,521. From Springdale AR I dead headed to the yard and picked up a load going to Maryland Height, MO for a Monday morning delivery. I stopped by the house for my restart and left out for another 2 weeks. From there I went to Lincoln, IL then to Springfield, MO to Bloomfield, MO to Plant City Florida. I called my Fleet Manager to check if I could start heading north on I-75. Of course he said yes, so off I went. Ten minutes down the road he called my and asked if I could do a human drop and hook. I didn't have anyone to kick out of my truck so it was just a hook. I went to Crystal City, FL and picked up a new hire. I'm taking him with me and drooping him off at a hotel in Springfield, MO for his Monday morning orientation. We went on up to Manning S.C. and picked up a load going to Tulsa OKLA. Last week I run 3,160 miles. I split my miles Saturday evening and I'm sitting here in Tulsa this evening starting my week out with 478 miles. I'll be going home again Thursday evening so I'll have a short week this week.

My thoughts: It shows real professionalism when a trucking company will tell you to take all the time needed to correct any issues a driver my have at home. I believe the reason RBX does this is because they, (the company) does not want your mind on issues going on at home when your out on the road. They want your undivided attention on your current task at hand. Keeping the traveling public safe around your vehicle and delivering your load. As far as picking up the new hire and bringing him to the yard in Springfield. I'm not sure but I would say this serves two purposes. First, new drivers do not have to spend a 4 or 5 day's on a crappy gray hound bus and two, it saves money on a bus fare. I myself would rather be picked up by a company driver as apposed to riding a gray hound.

Everyone enjoy your travel's and watch for edit's out there.

What happened to RBX's website. Checked on it yesterday and it was not very informative and not the site I ran across a couple of weeks ago.

A long over due but short update.

unholy7, I hope you get everything worked out with this situation. Everything always works itself out in the end. Even when we have no idea the end will bring.

I'm sitting here in Tulsa. picking up a load in the morning. Since my last post a few things have happened. I've been with RBX for 8 months know and I'll speak more on that later. I'm still getting good miles and enjoying the road. Earlier I had posted about RBX letting me stay home to take care of things. That was for over a week. The day I was to head up to Chicago with my load I received a phone call from the Highway Patrol about my daughter being in an accident. I called weekend dispatch and told them to find a driver, that I may not be heading out. He told me he would work on it. I told him I would call him back once I found out more. Daughter is fine. She ended up with a small cut on her finger. The seat belt and the air bag saved her life. She rear ended a tractor trailer. After that, she was hit in the side by an large SUV. Again side air bags saved her. I highly recommend the Ford Fusion. Best car I ever owned. Anyway, I took the load up to Chicago, as I was waiting to be unloaded I received another phone call from home. I called my Fleet Manager and told him what was going on and he dispatched my a load going through the house. He asked me if I wanted another driver to meet my at my exit to relay the load. I told him I would just take it to the yard because my truck was about due for a service anyway. So I ended up staying home for another week to fix ****. I really appreciate the people at RBX, my fleet Manager, the load planner for getting me home and telling me to take all the time I need. This is a great company. I'm sure there are some other small companies out there that do this same thing but there probably far and few between. I'm on my second week out. I decided to run 3 weeks this time. I'm going try to get back to posting location's and mileage again along with my thoughts on the trucking industry in general. Everyone be safe and enjoy the road. Oh ya, here is a link for everyone to watch. This is a news station in Milwaukee WI. The following is why I posted on here, don't follow your GPS. It is only a tool. At the start of every trip I write down my directions on yellow paper. My GPS as stated earlier is used for scale house locations, Wal-Mart's, restaurants etc, etc. I can even put a live feed of the current weather as a map overlay on the screen. (Good for black ice). Anyway enjoy your travels.

You've had a crap ride over the last few months. I hope things start looking up for you. You're a good guy I hate seeing things like this happen to good people.

I have my Doctor's appointment tomorrow. Hopefully! There won't be any reason to keep me out of a truck. Talked to Rob a couple of days ago and he told me he'd try his best. I wouldn't care if I had to ride with a trainer again. I'll post tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

    Thanks again!
