So you disable cellular to use your "PHONE" as a navigational tool? ... I prefer making and receiving phone calls on my phone as well as stream music and such. Am I missing something, that doesn't sound logical to me but hey if it works for you I guess that all that matters.
Would you buy the Rand 720 or upgrade to the newer 730?

I have a nexus 7 lte, that i use. My phone i dont stream music have audible. Don't make phone calls while driving.

Oh so your using a tablet, got ya, lol.
Guess I would struggle at your company with the whole no phone calls while driving policy. As far as I'm concerned wearing a Bluetooth headset is no more distracting then talking to someone in the cab.tow614 Thanks this. -
Roadcall.....did you ever change yet

Policy doesnt stop me just dont get caught. I can make calls when ever. I just prefer not to. And if u come to sni ic choice your under same policy

I do know there are a ton of options out there, I was just asking those who have owned both of these models if the extra ching for the 730 was worth it. I have owned a truck specific Garmin, 4 versions of software based Co-Pilot, and an early Rand Product.......they all have issues, I guess Rand seemed to be the best in my opinion.

My 720 went nuts while going up I-95 in Georgia yesterday; was all over the place telling me I was off road and to take side streets, had a serious melt down for no reason. Anyone else ever had this happen. It was like suddenly it had no clue where I was at while going North on I-95
