Any System owner operators? Do you get to pick your own loads? Are you happy at System?

You can pick from loads that they offer you... I met a bunch of happy o/o's there and the all made money.... If you bring your own trailer then System takes 18% of what the load pays and if you use their trailers they get 28%

X2 is about all i know.

I'm just about done with a 3200 mile straight interstate run with 1 drop. The trailer was pre-loaded when i picked it up so I'm just hoping my fat arse can still fold a tarp by the time i get to the drop LOL. Not used to being this lazy.

I got to play on the back roads on the run before this. Spokane to PHX. Dispatch told me to be careful as their was a bunch of 2 lane roads on this run. I would think they understand my love of backroad's by now, but i guess not. They wanted me to run way west and come down 395 then back east over Cabbage. I ran 95 down through ID and then just for a added bonus took 55 south into Boise. You can't legally run either of em unless you have a 48' trailer for 95 and less than 75' overall for 55. If you get a chance to make that run I would highly recommend it. It's a bunch of 6-10% grades and switch backs with just inches to spare, but you can't beat the ride/view.

It reminded me alot of 93 south off of 16 out of Edmonton running down to the 93/95 junction. Make sure to stop at the bridge going into Cascade if theirs oncoming truck traffic or you'll both end up in the lake :D.

Drives like that make this job worthwhile.

Just under 3400 miles done for the week and 10 hours left on the 70. Not a bad week considering it's on E-logs in a speed governed truck. Think I'm about ready to switch to a company with paper logs though. I spend so much time when I feel fit to work sitting around bored losing money because the QC says i can't drive.

It's not uncommon to run my clock out, stay up for my 10 and then run the clock out again. I'm usually miserable during the second shift when i could have just driven another 8 hours or so during the first shift and slept like a baby afterwards rested to start my 2nd. E-logs suck...

    /Rant off

I'm looking at a ton of small outfits right now mainly off of CL. The ultimate goal is to get my own truck by late winter/early spring. Not totally decided on what i want to pull, but if the rates are as good as Milktanker is making em out to be I'll be thinking long and hard about livestock at least for the dry season.

I don't really "live" anywhere, but my taxable address is still registered as CA. You know the drill on long haul lol. I'm going to be changing my tax address to South Dakota at the end of this tax year though. With no personal or corporate income tax and a free address ready to go it will be a great place to be registered at. I'll be "living" just south of Sioux Falls for the foreseeable future then.

I'm Mainly interested in running East of Oregon/CA and west of Wisconsin/IL. I don't know if Mike Lowrie would be a good fit given how much regional freight he runs around CA and Oregon.

Pretty good. The money is good and I'm home every weekend. Paper logs run as wild or not as you want. Pretty simply people and I love it. I fuel at any pilot or J and you make one call in the morning let them know where your at and that's it...
