We've all rented apartments and/or houses and many of us lease POV's and we all accept that we are paying someone else's mortgage or payments; yet nobody scorns us as being part of a "flease." Trucking is different, but not everyone (me, for example) wants to end up with a truck to own then try to sell at the end. Like a car, I want to turn it back and say 'thanks,' and maybe get a newer one. Or not. The big thing for me is finding a company that really appreciates it's lease holders as valuable customers. Not all do.

What did you have to do to get on flatbed? Did you have to pass a load secure mentioned class? If so what was involved in it? Are you still averaging $1975 a week?

Flatbed stays an xtra day in orientation to do the securement class. He shows u few slides and goes over couple things then written test. Next day he has u chain or strap few things on thier trls and shows u how to work a rgn trl then take the test. U just point at the load and tell them how u would secure it. If no flatbed experience then they hold u couple xtra hrs for more practice and to tarp some pipe. It was all easy.

Can you start the lease/purchase program in one division and transition to another division prior to the expiration of your contract or are you locked in to the division you start with until you re-new your lease?

    Hi Rooster:
How are you doing? Thanks for sharing the info about your "rental" deal with ATS.
Just wonder whether you signed the contract with them as
    - sole person?
    - or a business entity (LLC, incorporation..)?

If you wanted to run as a team, would they allow you to employ one more driver within your lease? Would they limit the total mileage for a team?

Thank you for your sharing. I enjoy your thread. Keep updating.
    God bless you.
