DFO I get ya man. I freak out if anything touches my eyes. You should see me trying to use eye drops.
Schneider said shop won't install an inverter. If I do it, does it take long? Any precautions? Is it difficult?

Unless you are 100% confident in your abilities I would pay a shop to install an inverter. You need the right tools to crimp lugs on heavy gauge wire and the know how to do it where there is no risk of a short that could burn your truck up.

You can take it to a car stereo installation shop, to have it done.

Great idea on the stereo shop, would probably be much cheaper than a stealership and they have all the wiring and tools.

I'm on semi-vampire hours at the moment. Last week in Carlisle I was planning to take an almost-34 to let my recap hours catch up, so I stayed up till noon one day, then found a load out that night and left around 2200. Now my clock is all screwed up and I'm starting around 2300-0000 and running till late morning. Sucks having to deal with traffic.

The only thing he left out was

AT THE END OF THE DAY, I SLOWLY CRAWLED INTO THE SLEEPER, CAREFUL NOT TO ANGER ANY OF THE THUS FAR HIDDEN FAMILY MEMBERS WAITING TO EXACT THEIR STINGING REVENGE UPON ME.

I SLID EVER SO CAREFULLY UNDER THE COVERS, PULLED THEM OVER MY HEAD, AND ROCKED BACK AND FORTH SLOWLY UNTIL SLEEP FINALLY CAME.....

Man, that is an all-time TTR Forum Hall O' Famer, DFO!

Which location are was you going to get inverter installed at? The rep told me that if you was in GB they would install it for somewhere around 400 dollars. He said that Charlotte did not have a shop to do it but could get it done elsewhere. I would go to someone who deals with electronics. They seem to know a little more than others.
