Good idea. Even buy an old used travel trailer and park it in a RV park in another state and use that as a new address. Don't even have to live in it, but it gives you a new address & a place for mail. Shop around because some RV parks are expensive for a parking spot.

Dude you are single and (im assuming) with no kids.

I WISH i was in your situation. Do you understand? I WISH i wasnt tied down to where i am at right now. You have it good bro. Do like chinatown suggested and just pick any out of the 48 states to live in. What a concept! Did i mention i am jealous that you even HAVE this option? Or keep your situation the same and tell your company to route you to a city of your choosing for your time off and get your tourism on.

I dont mean any offense,.. honestly. And I know this sounds harsh.

But its time to grow up. Man up and take control of your life.

What ever your blowing your money on,.. STOP IT.

Take responsibility for not only yourself,.. but for your own actions. Grow up.

Rely on yourself. Quit feeling sorry for yourself, find something you want out of life and work towards that goal.

If its too emotional and/or stressful to gain control, then maybe you should seek out counseling or therapy.

    Hope you figure it out.

if you dont have any money or an apartment or a car
it is time for a new job
plenty of companies that will pay you $60000/year with experience
and no need of large amounts of hometime

you should be able to do anything you want to without the burdensome responsibilities life has a way of beating down on most of us

About a year or so ago, a driver posted on here that he divorced, then rented a room in some elderly peoples house in another state & town. He rarely stayed there, but used it for a residence address and mail. Start taking time off in small towns near Interstate highways & while there look around. Talk to real estate agents about rental places such as rooms or RV spaces; they will know who to put you in touch with. Look for some place with truck parking nearby; even a truck stop for parking & carry a bicycle with you to get around. Get a fresh start in life. I know of a truck driver that had a rough life at home, so didn't go home for 17 years. Only reason he went home then was because he was dead and the authorities had to do a search to ship the body; his family said, "Uh, we wondered what happened to him."

Get the truckers atlas out and write a list of towns that look interesting and take some time off there; maybe some odd places people don't normally think of for relocation:

    Searchlight, NV
    Battle Mountain, NV
    Telegraph, TX
Little America, WY on I-80 Exit 68

Run your finger along I-10 in the atlas and look at all the little towns in Texas; good little hideaways for some quiet, peaceful down time.

This is exactly what my wife & I did. We had to consider schools though since we have young children. Final choice was Henderson, NV and that's a LONG way from Tennessee.

Why would it cost you your job/career?

You keep your personal life and your work separate. When your personal life interferes with work or vice versa,.. thats when you run into problems.

If you need the advice of a counselor or need a therapist to help you cope with issues, its no one elses business but your own. There are free hotlines you can call if you need to talk with someone. Never tell your boss or let your place of employment know your personal business. I always keep them separate. I keep a happy face to the world, no matter what is happening in my personal life. Its just that,.. personal.

Quit over complicating your life little brother. Put your big boy pants on and start getting control of yourself.

I understand if you are afraid. But no one,.. I repeat,.. NO ONE is going to do this for you. Life is what you make of it. You can remain living a miserable existence, unhappy with yourself and everything around you, or you can do something about it and make your life better. But only you can do it.

Find something you want,.. something you feel would make life easier. A hobby, a place to live, take a vacation to an exotic location, buy a nice car, truck or motorcycle, something,.. anything. New toys always make me happy. I find bar-B-quing nude in my back yard therapeutic. Laughable from your perspective sure,.. but a beer in one hand and tongs in the other,.. rolling my sausages and steaks on the grill, soaking up the beauty of nature and everything around me. For me, thats blissful. You need to find your bliss.

You can stay like you are now for the rest of your life,.. or make a change and find your happiness.
