Spent the night at Birmingham Pilot, but didn't actually sleep much. (Knock-knock, Who's there?)

A scale would be a great place to sleep. Nobody wants to park at a scale.

How so? Because I have things to spend money on other than eating out? Because I don't piss around in truck stops during my off-duty time? Sure would like to hear your rationale for this comment.

I thought they had you OOS at the scale, but, then I never spend the night at rest areas or scales.

Never been put OOS...no, I don't mind parking at scales if they are designed to allow it. KY is about the only state I've parked at a scale in since around 2002.

    Another Crete dispatch adventure.

Got out empty yesterday in Romeoville, then took my break at the luxurious drop yard we utilize there. I wake up to a message...a pre-plan picking up right there and delivering in MI 194 miles away at 0500 Sat. Uh, no....not getting up at midnight to make this run...couldn't do it anyway as my break wouldn't be done til 0100.

So...now I'm on a 460-miler to NE, but it doesn't deliver til Monday at 1000. Just had a 5 day home visit....looks like another day off tomorrow. Don't have the final numbers for September, but it wasn't great....less than 10,000 I believe....

Florida and Wisconsin also allow it.
