Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

I have a bad habit of not liking to say no. I was down in safety last week and was in a meeting with the powers to be. When I got my last trainee off my truck I went in and explained to them just exactly why I wanted out. Low and behold, they get a trainee that fits every criteria for me. Lives by me, second stage, drivin in Ice and snow, all 48, and isn't being held hostage by a wife, girlfriend or dog.

 

Call into Sally/Sean. I was in there on Friday and your husbands app was on the desk going through the process. The one and only thing that will hold it up is previous employment verification.

 

Todays job at hand.......changing the garbage disposal. My 10 year old home that we had built is slowly being replaced piece by piece.

 

Ok, the garbage disposal is replaced, I had absolutely nothing to do with that $100 in my pocket or the hour of my time it took me to do it. I'm hoping to get out of here with nothing else needing replacing.

My plans for Thanksgiving and our cruise the day after are in full swing. I put in for my vacation last month, that's been approved. I will go out this next 2 weeks, take home time again, then stay out until hometime for Thanksgiving. I made my arrangements to park my truck for 2 weeks with the same place I park it every year for vacation. In one regard it's nice to take the truck home for vacation, in fact, I think it's pretty cool we are allowed to do it, on the other hand, it becomes my responsibility to make sure it's safe and secure while I'm gone, which it is.
