I dont know anything about the tax side. But, my goal was to pay off my truck. The choice program works great for someone who has a paid off truck. I would never buy a truck for tax purposes. I have a 2006 international and for maint, from 10/2013 to 10/2014 i am paying .05 cpm for maintenance. I will take a paid off truck over leasing for taxes. You get the same rates new or use truck on the choice program..lol

Glad I could entertain you guys..LOL!
I'll stick to running and let you guys figure it out as you go..just like me.

I don't have any trouble making my payment every week and don't have to worry about maintenance or paying taxes.
Must be doing something right..so with that I'll shut up.

    Peace out.

In 2007, I had a medical issue that rendered me non-DOT compliant, so the truck was parked for 6 months with weekly starting and monthly trips around the block, so to speak. Upon hitting the road again I noticed that the 6month old diesel had grown some nice algae and no matter how many tanks I ran through, it was still there. Bought Bio Kleen Diesel Fuel Biocide fuel additive, dosed once and it was gone for good. You only need to worry about it, imo, if the truck sits and the algae (really a cyanobacterium ) accumulates within the fuel lines. The fuel filters do a good job of scrubbing the free floating flora from the fuel, so if you get some live fuel, it shouldn't be a big issue unless it sits in the tank and cooks for a few weeks. Good luck.

In Carlisle tonight, booked my load back down south and will (probably) be home tomorrow evening for a few days. Been out 3 weeks and ready for a little break.
