Not for the logs. Would be nice to print out the load information and take it to the shipper. My notebook works great and taking a photo of it is nice, just looking at cleaner, easier ways.
Thanks again guys.

My company uses the mcp200 and they supply a scanner and printer. The printer is a cheap canon. It doesn't quiet work the way you probably thinking. Meaning I don't have the option to print any screen. The company sends us documents such as oversize permits as a PDF and it shows up in the media manager. After opening the document, there is a print icon just like using acrobat. I don't have the option to print anything else like messages or logs. Loading the drivers might be a little difficult. When I go to settings/printers I have 3 installed, canon ip2700 series which is what I currently use, HP officejet h470 series and a brotherpocketjet 3plusB.

Yep that's what I was figuring. You can't just print anything off the unit. Just certain things. I have yet to see the reason behind a printer for a Qualcomm. Printing a paper copy from a electronic version of something is a downgrade in my eyes.

I run flatbed and we do a lot of oversize loads so it's a big plus for us so we don't have to find a truck stop for them to fax us the permits for each state. It came in handy for me twice in the past few days... Tuesday I got a load off our Laredo yrd. I was sent the load info and I found my preloaded trailer then bobtailed to get some supplies for the truck. One my way back a couple hours later, I pass the office guy just leaving for the day. I asked the guard shack for the bills and out the stack of bills he had mine wasn't in there so he told me I had to wait for that guy to come back to work in the morning. I sent dispatch a msg letting them know what was going on so maybe I could get a different load and not have to wait on him to come to work to be able to leave and lo and behold dispatch actually had a copy of the bills. They sent them to me via the Qualcomm and I printed them and was on my way! Then I got a load sending me near NY so I checked for my NY sticker since I just got the truck two weeks ago and it wasn't there. I called permits and they sent me a temp until a new one came in the mail, again I was able to print it and keep trucking so having in cab print and scan really comes in handy.
