Tanker endorsement is required by Prime and prospective PSD students must have it prior to end of orientation.

You need a tanker endorsement to pull the 119-gallon liquid totes (aggregate of 3,000-gallons) we load in reefers.

This is a question for you new drivers/students. Just out of curiosity how long is the current wait (or how long did you wait) for a PSD or TNT trainer? Thanks

I didn't wait. I had an instructor Friday night and was on the road Saturday morning.

Hey what do you know, I start then too .. Class of October 27th I guess? Heh, couldn't be more excited, and I keep hearing nothing but great things about Prime. The recruiter (Gracie, really nice) told me to definitely have your permit and tanker endorsement before you come in, otherwise you'll be behind most others and playing catch-up. Plus, if you get your permit beforehand, maybe there will be more time to "cruise around" in the simulators. I hear they're a lot of fun and you can learn quite a bit.

Your out of pay until you receive your cdl... Then you are considered an employee and receive 600 per week at least (although their website says 700). Prior to your cdl while you have your permit you can pull 200 per week for food and such which will be paid back at 25 per week once you are making a paycheck.... I think I got this down now lol
