My wallet based governor kicks in making 700 miles an almost unattainable goal.

650 to 680 is my regular open road goal.

I feel ya. I have a buddy who's the same way. Since I drive their truck, I run the speed limit. Anything to get as far north as I possibly can in as little time as I can, lol. Ok? Not starting that again!!!!

All I'll say is: "always have an exit (pre)plan."

You guys crack me up, but what do I expect. A bunch of truck drivers agreeing on something would probably bring the universe crumbling down. I was born and grew up in the South of Germany. We also build cars there. Actually, we kind of invented it. I did live in Memphis, TN for a couple of years, but hated the humidity. I loved the East side of the state for sure.
I like the Northwest and enjoy the far North for sure. Wide open spaces, not a lot of traffic or people and unbelievable scenery. Just have to watch out for critters. Three of my friends have hit a moose in the last month.

So here I am starting my day here in Campobello SC, at 0700 am and its still dark as midnight. These new extended daylight savings time hours
are pure BS. Think of all those four wheelers on there commute in the dark. Most of them can't drive good in broad daylight. Not to mention all those children on school days walking to school or waiting on their bus to pick them up. Just another example of the government and it's stupid
policies putting people at risk to squeeze more work out of all the drones.

I log on central time also. What does that have to do with daylight savings time ? Most people and all school children start on their way to work or school between 0600-0800 am. Most truck drivers are used to driving odd hours night or day. They are used to doing it. The average person is a creature of daylight. Did you ever notice how much less traffic there is at night. Do you think it's a good idea to have children walking to a bus stop or school in poor visibility conditions?

One thing I don't miss about michigan. All of junior high spent walking to school. Sub zero Temps and knee deep snow.

I grew up in the ghetto where it wasn't safe day or night. And I walked to school and I'm still alive.
