I'm currently driving for this company and I got to say if you have bills to pay stay away. I'm on the contract deal and lucky to make $150.00 per week take home pay. I keep losing codrivers because they aren't making any money. We are averaging less than 500 miles per day as a team. I have to pay more out in tolls than I make. And have to fight to get reimbursed for them. Put them in the trip pack and they claim they never received them. This place really treats their employees like garbage and when you add up all the hours and divide your pay your lucky if you make 2 bucks an hour. Any question just ask. I'm still here and know what the score is.:biggrin_25513:

Ouch. I'd be depressed if I couldn't do that as a single.

RKW, I am in the same boat but I am saying #### the contract and leaving. I can no longer afford to be the Oarsman on the Big Gold Slave ship. I have been sitting home for two weeks as of today (as I predicted) and they are still deducting money for the DOT Physical I didn't need and lodging at that crap-hole in Kentucky. So I am now in the hole......sooo, I am gonna deliver pizzas for a few weeks and I am off to another place that I hope is better.

Not to mention every person who needs a co-driver that calls me has some sort of social disorder, doesn't smoke and wont take a smoker or has a pet in the truck. If I could find a decent co-driver, I would just suck it up and stay, but thats the hard part.

Sad thing is this poster hasnt even scratched the surface on how truly pathetic this company is. However his comments are dead on accurate.

Hello RKW, My husband and I worked for CRST and recently found out our licenses CDL A from Florida State were suspended because CRST sent us to a school with a Fraudulent driving instructor who just handed out the licenses. There is more than that CRST has also not paid us on miles and let my husband go because of an accident. If you know more people interested in a class action law suit against CRST, PLEASE let us know. Thanks for listening.... helpstopthegold

    helpstopthegold,

SO - you are assuming that CRST knew the instructor/school was performing illegally.

You are assuming that no other company would fire a driver for an accident.

The only possible honest complaint I see here is the shorting on miles. Are you both using the same system to calculate those miles? Have you tried to straighten things out with your dispatcher - or his supervisor? There's no indication in your post of such an action. Seems to me that any suit is destined to get quashed by the first lawyer you talk to.

I'm going to play devils advocate for the company here.

When you sign on, they let you know that one of the things they can do is have your license suspended if you fail to complete training. I know it sucks, but you signed the contract and probably didn't read it well when you signed it, your bad. We're only hearing one side of the story here.

Mileage is not usually a problem with CRST unless you jerk your FM around. Yeah, the mileage pay sucks, but you can still get miles.

CRST can only ruin your credit if you refuse to pay them what you agreed to when YOU signed the contract, even if you are terminated. I am leaving under contract, but I am going to pay them, so my credit isn't damaged and I can move on, they will set up payment schedules with you so it's not like they won't work with you.

Best advice anyone can ever get when it comes to CRST is to NOT let them help you get your CDL. I went in to training with a CDL, so they can't touch it.

Another helpful hint: MAKE COPIES OF EVERY OUT-OF-POCKET RECIPTE YOU GET BEFORE YOU SEND IN THE ORIGINAL FOR REIMMBURSMENT!!!

Then when they claim they never got it; you can say "that's o.k.....I have a copy".
They can't deny that you were on that road, on that run, on that day.....cuz you also have a copy of your logs (which is a LEGAL document).

RKW, That ain't right, I think I may have to do some research, I am pretty sure they cannot do that legally, it may be that you have to file a case in civil court, you know, like with OJ.
