That's all I wear. A cheapo Walmart hooded sweatshirt and a pair of insulated bibs and have my coat for those nights that's it's that bone chilling cold out here.

Insulated Buffalo Hide gloves will keep you reasonably warm and will not fail! I ran a pair for 4 months working everyday with straps, chains and starps with no regard for their well being. I ran hundreds of feet of chain across the palm. I ran thousand of feet of strap through the thumbs as i rolled them up in strap winders. Towards the end i was honestly trying to abuse them just to see where their fail point was and i never reached it.

Then one fateful day at the TP with the Mcdonalds in Billings i opened my door and one of them fell out i assume. When i stopped again and grabbed for them only one remained. A sad day, I haven't gotten a chance to pick up another pair. The brand was Kinco I believe.

The main reason I chose Carhart was size availability. I'm 6'4", 37" inseam and my knuckles drag.

Nothing cheap will fit. Not even close.

I have tried their "firehose" stuff........the only thing worth a hoot ( I thought) was the casual blazer/sportcoat. It's pretty well made and sharp. The work stuff I think is over-rated....a friend of mine bought some of their coats for his logging crew and they have held up real well though. They DO have their advertising down to a science though!! LOL

I got a pair of -80 fire proof coveralls from Praxair. I don't care how cold it is out, I stay nice and toasty. They are about $280 but have lasted me 6 years

Maybe I will wear shirt, tie and sport coat with sweat pants and flip flops of opposite colors and act like the Volvo owners I'm use to seeing!

    SMTatham Thanks this.
