Recently had a 2 liqiud pallet load from the middle of Pennsylvania to the middle of Missouri. Never had to walk so deep into the trailer b4 with load locks, practically secured them behind my bed. Guessing that would have been a nice paying load, very light !

Currently have my SC B CDL. I am going to wait for my A permit since I need a DOT card to test in SC and mine has just expired. And it would be great to meet up and say hey

Let me clarify. For those coming into orientation, the tanker endorsement is a requirement prior to being assigned to a truck. At least according to my experience and what we were told during orientation. How long this policy had been in place, I couldn't say. It is my understanding that it was enacted after a change in DOT regs regarding the liquid totes that IP mentioned.

I just took my permit test today and it was relatively easy, probably easiest to just get it in MO tho. I had to get a physical done for the state of AZ to even give me a permit. Now I'll have to get another one in MO but at least its company-paid there.. I suppose when everyone is out getting their permits on Wednesday (??) I will have time to walk around the streets of Springmo like a hobo. Heh can't wait!

You will have plenty to do. Sims and cbt's can take some time.

Really excited about the Sims, I've seen a few pics of the setups and they look awesome. What are cbt's?

Hate to be the jerk here and I think Wally is a really cool guy, but the sims are crap. Nothing more than a 2nd generation video game in a 4th generation world. The only difference between the the sims and those big rig video games at the arcade is a more realistic stick. The clutch still sucks on the sims. I didn't ind any useful correlation between what I did on the sims and what I experienced when I got in a real truck.

Nevertheless, it does provide some useful situational training. No they aren't a full 360-degree wrap-around visual with motion, but it is useful despite what you may think.
