Prime - Advanced Fleet Program

    Can someone explain the ins and outs of the Advanced Fleet Program at Prime. Like where do you run, who does the IFTA, are you able to run your own loads? I am looking for as much detail as possible. Another question is what kind of rates are you getting. I would also like to know can the owner also communicate through the Qualcomm.

    Not entirely. Since you're under your own authority on the Advanced Fleet there is nothing stopping you from running your own loads. If you use one of Prime's trailers, you'll have to complete the rental agreement on it.

    Advanced Fleet I believe is different from the brokerage. I talked to someone today and was told its 77% of line haul and 100% fuel surcharge. They said the average weekly gross was $4300 or around $1.75-1.80/mile which seems really good considering the average reefer rates are about that much.

    This thread is pretty old. Advanced fleet is ran though the brokerage dept., so no it isn't different from the brokerage dept. They are the ones to contact for more info on it as well which is why I gave that advise. 77% of line and 100% of surcharge is correct, you will also need you own authority, liability ins.(3 million I believe), and cargo ins. At $1.75-1.80/ mile that's going to be loaded dispatched miles it's not going to be all odometer miles. What you won't need is one of the $70, 000 utility 3000R refers you'll likely pull around.

    Maybe it is part of the brokerage but I'm pretty sure it's a different department. I called Advanced Fleet to get some info, and then they transferred me to their brokerage. Not sure about liability, but they need $150K cargo and $65K trailer insurance.
    Considering nationwide average for Reefers is around $1.80/mile, if you're getting 77% which is $1.75 then it's based on $2.30 average.

    Yes I've already stated above that's correct. Advanced fleet is ran though the brokerage dept which is why they transferred you there when you called. Yes really the brokerage dept. Lol.
