Terminated by Swift..Quit Stevens..help!

I missed the part about hitting a deer would be #3 and fired. That pretty well sums up this thread. Now granted if you are hitting deer all the time something might be wrong but one now and again is to be expected. I saw someone down around Jackson MS hit about 6 at one time. Three rolls of duct tape and she was good to go.....

One time I got held up for a truck repair and then had to head out to a NW Georgia hill country delivery and I was so mad I tried to hit a deer. I even drove off on the grassy shoulder and it just looked at me and took a step back.

I'm going to zap another post in the experienced advice forum on how to hit deer.

 

I'm not even going to respond. This has to be a huge joke.

 

Its kind of hard holding back the criticisim with 6 preventables.First step to being a better driver is taking some responsibility.One maybe 2 preventables I can see but 6 thruout your short driving carreer?Swift and Stevens gave you enough chances how many more chances do you need?You have bills so while your looking for another company to give you a chance I would suggest finding a non driving job.This may be a long road ahead before you'll be able to drive again.I think you'll be at the losing end if you try and fight the termination at Swift,your record with Stevens will prove that.

I'm waiting on the thread posted by the CDL student who has lost one of his eyes in a chainsaw accident, is missing all his toes, has been busted by the FBI for a grow operation in northern Cali, and shot a man in Reno (just to watch him die) and did time for that, and has had addiction issues all his life, with seven tickets for reckless driving and numerous suspensions on his license, including DUIs and speeding through school zones and seat belt tickets.

The only thing I need to know is....what area you are working in......just so I can avoid that area....6 in 2 yrs.......can you say " would like that supersized"

 

The real sad part is that by the time you and I retire, that will be the common driver........ Or they'll have full autopilot trucks by then..... Pick your poison.

 

The worst part about it is, nowadays with computers that never forget a darned thing about anybody, the badness just piles up and piles up against a driver. There really is no "fresh start" for anybody now.
Everything is on the record, from drug tests to logs to accidents and incidents and all other bad things.

 

i understand having a minor preventable or two in your first 90 days...hell i had two in my first 60 days. but after that second one in June, I got the hang of everything.

jumped a kingpin and bent a fairing on my tractor my first week, other got my tandem stuck in the grass had to get towed out on my 47th day. got put on probation for 90 days and cleared that without further adieu.

after that I pulled my head out of my butt. havent had another incident.

but 6 preventables? in a 2 year period?

you need to go find a career where you have no chance to hurt anyone else. you are a disaster on 18 wheels waiting to happen. find an office job. no one ever hurt someone or caused an accident by talking on a phone from behind their desk.

your only other option is to get re-trained by a QUALITY trainer because you either got the worst trainer ever...or you arent real bright and should not be behind the wheel of a truck.
