All road side inspections are to be logged on duty the entire time. Not sure where he got that from.

It's all good. I'm afraid my attitude about this has been somewhat tainted by the attitudes of many drivers these days. Fact is, anyone who takes the time to post, offer advice and assistance, and have thoughtful input on boards such as this probably doesn't fit into this group I'm speaking of. And we know the ones...parking on the fuel island, pulling off just any old place for a break, etc. It is my pet peeve and frustrates me to no end. I guess in a circular sort of way, that's where I was going....but I certainly didn't explain it very well!

I'm looking forward to coming on board and meeting some of you....coffee is on me (as it usually is after I bounce around early in the morning!).

So after being on duty for the inspection for an hour, when the cop tells you "log yourself off duty" even though he's still doing inspection paperwork for the next 30 minutes you're going to ignore him?

How about the guy that sits in the fuel lane of a packed pilot doing mechanical work on his truck, putting in coolant, putting in oil, going into the pilot to buy more coolant, starting truck, stopping truck, going back into the pilot for more stuff, back out to the truck, then finally moving 35 minutes later while you are sitting right behind him waiting to fuel.

Yeah, I could have #####ed him out, but I was just standing outside my truck about 50 feet away from the guy talking #### about him to other drivers and making fun of how much of a moron he was. Didn't get him to hurry up any faster either. I actually got a kick out of how ignorant the guy was. Not worth getting all bent out of shape over other people being the morons that they are.
