Any T680 Owners? Would love some feedback.

What shape were your steers in when you took them off @ 112,000 miles ?

 

Pretty good shape, 20/32 L 19/32R with no weared spots or "waves". It wears very evenly, this is a huge surprise after my old volvo. Just a reminder, I never drive more than 60-62mph, sometimes rolling down the hill 75, but thats rare.
Drive Bridgestone's still in relatively good shape, no dents or cracks - Crossfires do their job well.

Good luck with that good thing you do oil analysis that way you can monitor results .. Hopefully no damage results from this product..warranty probably would be denied

 

Did it on all my previous trucks and cars. Only good impressions. I trust Germans.

Yes, it is. Ukrainians made it from german chemical and on german equipment. Nothing to worry about.

 

Well, left truck on dealership to exchange EGR cooler by warranty. As you can see mine failed much earlier than medium failure rate (80,000 miles) - already on 50,000. Changed oil, didn't fix a thing, and now I have to. Its a shame on cummins to not to resolve EGRC issue up to this time. Ok, now I still have warranty, but what happens later? Will I pay $600 for EGRC and same money for labor every 6 months? Sick.

 

I read a article by rawze where he stated the reason the cooler cracks when almost new is that the block settles and there's no give in cooler do it cracks ... Normally replacement goes awhile as block has settled already ... As long as you continue driving it the same way it shouldn't move again his theory sounds good to me

 

I see. It's good in theory but in real life EGRC is absolutely unpredictable. On my pre- pre- volvo it went with steam from the pipe only at 300,000 miles. Ok, this one I drive more carefully, do some warm up, etc. And it still fails. Why cummins just not changing his supplier? Why just not make it more reliable?
