Yes bman I occasionally have issues in my KW with my 900w microwave. I have to tack it up to about 1200 rpm in order to fix my food.

Ran about as hard as I've ever done to get out here early to be in position to be empty a day early. We were just coming into Barstow when my QC came alive. Drop my trailer at our Colton yard, bobtail 9 miles to San Bernardino and grab a loaded trailer going to Dublin Ga for 3am Friday morning. Done, and now sitting in Barstow getting my ride washed.

Well at Richmond again and only have 850 under my belt so far I hope to make my 3000 mile quota for the week.
Well JB why dont you just go see a movie instead of washing your truck so much???.
Well I did have the shop test my batteys and my inverter both seem to be working fine, so back to the drawing board, I did take JB suggestion and break into another Cascadia and see if it work in there NOPE....so its the #$¥€ ing microwave.
Stay tune ....... so hope all is well In Abilene trucking world??.....hey Uturn1 are u still around and going out West???

I too will hopefully be sling shot out there soon.....

I wash my truck every round trip WI/CA/WI
but boss only gets every other wash
so in Barstow I go to old A and B truckstop on my money
corner of L and Main street
$40 with a coupon truck and trailer
$50 first time but you ask for a coupon $40 after that
not the best but worth the money
especially gets the salt off :biggrin_25525:

Nah. Was in Dallas last week. Was home for this weekend and delivered to a new BJ's in NJ. Then had to run up to East Rutherford to pick up some foam to take down by Charlotte. Deadheading to HP to drop the trailer. Either there was no backhauls or they still need trailers from the weekend. Camping out at the Petro in Mebane.

Made it to Kingman last night and called it a night. Woke up early, showered then rolled out at 6am. About 10 am we got a QC message to swap with another team in Amarillo and deliver Friday morning in Tracy Ca at 7am. We will be in Amarillo about 9:30 tonight. I had hometime for Monday but had Tim reschedule it for Tuesday. No biggie, especially since my wife is doing much better and there's a reload in Northern California for Friday going right back to Richmond for Monday.

Its been 15 months since my wife graduated from driving school and was hired by Abilene. As her trainer I taught her how be a team driver that I could trust to do the job safe and do it right. So far our best pay period was 14K and our worst was 8K due to taking extra time off. We did this with out having a personal phone number or email of the many FMs that have been assigned to us or asking for a new FM. We have gone from having a 75mph truck to a 68mph truck with out having to buy any emergency fuel or DEF in a jug. We have never asked to end a trip in order to have a higher pay period. Only missed making mileage bonus once due to vacation. So far we are on track for a combined yearly pay of $135K. We put in for our home time as soon as we finish our last home time complying with the 7 working days request period. Sure we get upset when things get slow or we have to wait hours on end for dispatch but so far not having to deal with any emergency home time we haven't asked to have any special time off. In short we enjoy the scenery and don't complain to our FM when we have a short week a long wait or a non stop run with crazy apt times. When given a mission impossible run we just laugh and do our best with out ever getting any grief from Abilene. I know that if you work some where long enough you can make a long list of things that are wrong or things you don't like. We could work for most any company now but Abilene meets our simple needs. and With that said its fun to read the posts from all the drivers and we hope all stay safe.
