Was at the yard Wed and they had a Dublin load that needed run so I ran it. Picked up and empty reefer and sent in a message where to take it. Anybody else been to the new empty lot there? It sucks. Got to the guard shack to check out and went to shut the door. Only came half way down. Climbed up there and had to lift it with my shoulder. Door was bowed out and a couple hinges busted. Grabbed the handle and jumped. If my big ##### didn't get it down plan hmmmm would be in effect. Came down but was so bowed the latch was on the outside of the lip. You could tell a forklift hit it from the inside. Sent a new message to deadhead me to the yard with it.

Got it to the yard Thur and had to write up my truck with the trailer. Check Engine and MIL were on with code fuel aftertreatment. Was on a HP load going to GA but told them to take that off me since I didn't know how long this would take. A few hours later and I jumped on a rescue load. Driver needed to go to the hospital but the load delivers at 2200. Hmmmmm. 6 1/2 hours left on my 14 at 1500 and with the heavy load going to Groveport would take about 9 hours. A certain someone that takes care of the BH loads said "use your 16". Guess he didn't like when I said that would be illegal and I don't do that. Then said split since you have 8 1/2. Sorry but I'm not gonna sleep for 2 hours and then run 9. Said get it there when you can then. Hahaha. So I jump out on 95 and both lights come on again. Got to Beckley to take a break and split break there. Got over to Nitro and my DPF light comes on too. So with the cruise, jake and 110 light on it looks like Xmas. Just glad none work gone blinky blink. Here in Groveport doing a forced regen to see what happens. Throwing the code DPF fuel pressure. Yay I have the feeling I'll be in Freightliner before the end of the weekend. A few years back had the wireharness give out and fault the ignitor plug on my international. Sounds like the fuel injector in there might be faulting.

 

Ok its Friday and I wonder if things could get any longer for me, first thing this morning while doing my PTI..found a flat tire on this ......um.....trailer yeah....come to find out this tire was plug twice already....breakdown says to replace and bring old one back......um not...trailer is sealed and no room on the catwalk.....after two hours tire fix but mechanic notices three other tires bad!!!!...., ok I was told ....run it......wow....message to Disp went ....tire found flat on trailer, fix, bad one threw out three others not looking good ETA to receiver 3.5 hrs...... arrived at shipper 3.5 hrs later unloaded after 2 hrs of waiting.......and been sitting a hour waiting for reload.....again this Friday is going long for me...

 

R.C I told him that here in a few years I would get my cdl and he could be my trainer then we could do teams he said that I was too funny. You be safe out there

Yesterday afternoon I called the shop to see if they wanted me to find a Frieghtliner dealer or get back to the yard. John said to get back. About 1600 they sent me a deadhead back to the yard. Had 2 1/2 on my clock so I was just gonna spend the night. Started the truck to warm it up a little and charge the batteries. Red blinky stop engine light came on yay. Figured I'll let it sit and check it out in the AM. Same thing. Called breakdown for a tow. Sitting over in Columbus now, said they could get me in tomorrow.

 

RC he did very well in NYC but yes that was the concern. A couple more northeast runs and he should hopefully be able to get his own truck. And I can get back to East Coast to west coast running.

 

Crossed 50k tonight as I was passing through Hagerstown, Md tonight. Time for the KW to get its first PM when I get back to Richmond. In the meantime, now to relax. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
