Haha, a, I guessed right. I was in Cheyenne and needed to get to Montrose. I ran across 80 to 789/13 into Rifle then on to 70. Sherman was slick as snot but after that it was smooth sailing. 50 miles longer but I bet I saved 2 hours. Monarch was a joy Wednesday night though coming out of there.

I know I'm crazy, but I love that drive, all the way from Montrose to Pueblo. I've lived in Pueblo, Canyon City and Salida. And I've run that pass summer, winter, spring and fall. Everything from motorcycle, (not in winter of course,) to big truck.

All CMV's, chains required EB Vail and Eisenhower, imagine in a few hours it will be for WB as well. Decent snow storm supposed to hit the area today.

    I would if I could but I can't. I'm not there anymore..

turned around on exit 22 eb trucks were in lne along side the road throwin chains while some went through.. before I turned I heard clank clank claank as I watched the sparks fly from the tire chains on black top.. hmm I thought .. keep goin? Better not its mandatory .. upon entering from exit 22 to I-84, 3 trucks whizzed on by with no chains.. we then passed a few trucks with chains on going wb
. I wasn't in the mood to deal with slush throwin my own.. besides that I had reservations for an alt route begore arrival.. no tellin on conditions after exit 22
