Nah, a good cleansing is good for the body and soul. Life on this thread will go on, with or without her, or even with or without me, the holier than thou one.

I would hate to have Rebel Chick stop adding her observations to this tread because of someone who cant hold their ego in check. The fact is on the BH head load out of Forest City going to Brooklyn, a solo driver cannot complete that run within HOS and make it on time. That run always involves at least two solo drivers swapping out or if a team happens to be available then they get the run. So rescuing the load is a crown that John Boy placed on is own head. Believe me Abilene didn't think twice about the driver who didn't want to go to Brooklyn it happens everyday. They realize that its best to keep a driver than firing them because they don't want to go to Brooklyn. No gold star is placed by a drivers name when they go to Brooklyn nor any demerits added if they refuse. Its just a load that gets delivered by a driver or a team of drivers in this case. I personally go to Brooklyn when I'm asked to but I would never ask to go otherwise. I don't feel the risk of driving in that area is worth the $50. Then again having to chain up 3 times in the past two weeks to get thru Montana, Oregon, and Washington my wife and I didn't think twice about. Abilene's policy is not to drive if chains are required, but if you want to forward the load Abilene will pay for chains to be installed or taken off. I chose to do it myself because I don't want to wait for the chainman to come by. So if you don't want to chain up, or go to Brooklyn, Abilene wont fire you. I think the term of steering wheel holder is uncalled for when referring to a fellow Abilene driver. We all know what kind of docks and unfinished stores that we hit while making everyday delivery's. John Boy Abilene need teams desperately and its very likely that is why your still partnered with someone. Thank goodness you still get trainer pay since by your own admission your a true team truck. So kudos Rebel Chick for making a stand against braggers, and people who like to place themselves on high pedestals.

There's a HUGE difference between a driver not going to NYC due to hours and one who REFUSES to go causing another driver or team the stress that comes along with it for no other reason than they just don't want to do it. Also don't understand the hurt feelings either. Nobody WANTS to go to NYC and I never got the impression that Rebelchick would refuse either....but I do stand by JB taking issue of doing somebody else's job.

Everyone play nice, I must say I ducked and dodged Brooklyn my whole first year thru outbound u till one day I got an assignment📝 from the ne planned to picked up after leaving halls. When I first saw the msgs i got kind of nervous but I just called up a buddy that went all the time guided me in every step of the way in and back out. Now I realise that was easiest $50💵 I could have made. BH in Brooklyn is a easy run after the first time there.

    do they deseve respect tooo?
if Abilene is willing to pay hundreds to have someone chain up
they should pay the drivers more money

if your company goes places you dont wanna go find another company

bragging isnt anything more then just being better then a slacker unless
    you cant cover your mouth

If it truely is all about your comfort zone than my wheels wouldn't ever be turning unless it was clear, sunny and dry.
