No doubt Mark does a lot of customer service through this forum. I do appreciate his effort. It won't change my view of the maps software RM provides. This was the first GPS I bought and I will never buy another one on any brand. I always call shippers and receivers for best route to loading/unloading. The comfort of seeing what is ahead for the road structure is helpful just not necessary.
I'll go buy a new map.

You should always second guess any gps unit no metter who makes it.

Will Rand Mcnally ever offer their 720 software as an paid app download compatable to android / iphone users?

Maybe in the future but not currently. They focus on gps units and atlas.

I am curious to find out if these new roads that are not on the gps unit are in the new RM road atlas, as I don't have a new atlas I can't compare. If the new roads, 2 yrs old not really new, are in the atlas and not the gps then I would want to know why. If they are not on either then I think we need a whole lot more effort put into updating maps and not adding more programs.

Go to Highway view under the Turn-by-Turn, this will show you the routing for each leg.

IF you have a 510/710/520/720 that shows LTM=Yes on the Dock, but if you don't show the 2nd button from the left showing update maps, then I need to know the serial number off your unit. (back side).

Those who have posted/pm'd me the serial numbers I have forwarded them up to RM.

Maps are about 3+gb.

Now -

Maps will download currently to the internal storage.

Jan -

Map DCA's have grown, but with the addition of the new JV file will push the maps to over 4gb. (8GB min, class 10 suggested).

Maps are pushed from HERE as the map providers. Program code is written differently.

Anything that is posted here for map issues is researched in depth and either submitted to RM or HERE for map corrections.

My 720 also says already have latest maps (no map update seen) and yes for LTM.
